I'm about 4 and a half hours in, and I'm a little bored. Between him wanting his sister and no vampires, I'm just about ready to give up on this. Where is the action, where is the romance, and WHERE ARE THE VAMPIRES? The only reason I made it this far is because the narrator is beyond perfect!!
***update*** So I finished the book and it wasn't too bad. Definitely not what I was expecting. The narrator made this story though, so major thumbs up to him!!! 👍🏾. If not for him, I would have given up on this. Kuddos to the author because it was beautifully written, just not interesting enough for my taste.
@Jaaas Unfortunately, there is a vampire, not a very interesting one, but he's there. Romance, I couldn't find any real romance, but maybe the thing with his sister is romantic to some. He did have dalliances with other women, but it was nothing to knock your socks off.
I clicked on the video for the vampires and stayed for the narrator. Almost 2 hours in now and I feel concerned about the love between the brother and sister. It's my first time hearing about siblings love story, I'm not sure if Alisa & her brother ended up together , now this story left me hanging (kidha kidha) like this like that! Who killed lord Tristan?? If its Alisa she wasn't that fullish enough to leave evidence behind. (Ivan Lockhart) lord ladies man, this character left me thinking he had many lovers yet felt bad when Alisa goes out with another man like seriously, this should be "Do me i Do you" same level not the other way around, i was expecting a happy ending but it is what Sanchez had written. Salutations to narrator that male voice hmm.

I made it to 4:13:50 before I gave up sadly. It was beautifully written, and I loved the beginning, I felt like it was going to be great how fascinating the start was to find out what would happen next, but then when they travelled to Paris and Venice I thought wow countries and cultures I adore... but it was just cool because of the city and culture descriptions. I understood it was a romance but I was thinking how it was lacking a clear storyline and I was getting a little bored. Sorry, I wish there was more fantasy earlier on. Do you have any LGBT novels, because I love your writing, maybe I'd be more interested?

You can read Curse the Moon as a standalone, but I recommend reading the full series to get the most out of the overarching story and complex relationships between the characters. Your poetic writing style is beautiful, but there's so much exposition that interrupts the action, I keep getting lost. If I could put your prose style onto the last clunky vampire audiobook I suffered through, I would be quite satisfied. It had a great story wasted with lousy prose. This has beautiful prose but I can't discern the story past the info dumps.

I'm about halfway through, and it's been a slog. Although descriptively written, and clearly and concisely read, I've found it lacks passion. It's dull. The narrator is great bit lacks something this book needs.
Is this a story of incest 😮 I'm more than 5hrs listening to this audiobook and it comes across more of a period piece of history😅 rather than vampire or anything slightly scary 😅
I see several people commenting on it being a bit boring and I see why. It’s so much unnecessary information and it’s written in a RP kind of way where you need to give a lot of information for your RP partner to use. But like this it makes no sense. The book is not bad but please shave down on useless backstory and details.

i am almost at 2 hours and there just isnt enough going on to keep me listening. will have to pass on this one. the narrator is excellent though. maybe the story picks up later?

I'm about halfway through, and it's been a slog.
Although descriptively written, and clearly and concisely read, I've found it lacks passion. It's dull. The narrator is great bit lacks something this book needs.
Had me by the first paragraph....
Is this a story of incest 😮 I'm more than 5hrs listening to this audiobook and it comes across more of a period piece of history😅 rather than vampire or anything slightly scary 😅

I see several people commenting on it being a bit boring and I see why. It’s so much unnecessary information and it’s written in a RP kind of way where you need to give a lot of information for your RP partner to use. But like this it makes no sense. The book is not bad but please shave down on useless backstory and details.
