Intelligent people will consult an attorney when they are being filmed and these conversations are going on. Shoudl we be discussing it? Should we shut it down? Can we be diposed? How will my association affect my charitable endeavours? These are smart things to investigate.

Even though it was technically her husbands money , she was spending it . Therefore it was kind of “her “ money too because they’re married. That does make her legally responsible even if she didn’t know what was actually happening. But realistically who checks or questions where their husband/wife’s income is coming from regularly especially when they have a very high paid high profile job ! One thing I’ve learnt from watching Teresa and joes whole legal battles play out on RHONJ is that as a woman I need to make sure if I ever get married I know EXACTLY what is coming in and what is going out from joint accounts and where that money is coming from! Because unfortunately when you let someone who is already doing bad things control your finances, you are probably going to end up being liable legally even if you genuinely didn’t know what was going on! If you rewatch all of Erika's answers to the questions posed throughout the season, you will notice the micro movements of her head nodding YES when she is saying NO and vice versa. The body doesn't lie.
Garcelle is often the only one who makes the effort to get to the real truth of a matter. She asks difficult questions, but she is transparent. She is fair,, honest and doesn't shy away from getting to the truth. She also wants to see people be accountable for how they act and what they say.. Although it was not in this after show program, I was proud of her for bringing up racial inequality at the La Quinta dinner in Kyle's house. She was eloquent and on point.

@@august1095 yeah but legally they’ll probably say she had a duty of responsibility to make sure she knew where the money she was spending was coming from. Even though it was technically her husbands money , she was spending it . Therefore it was kind of “her “ money too because they’re married. That does make her legally responsible even if she didn’t know what was actually happening. But realistically who checks or questions where their husband/wife’s income is coming from regularly especially when they have a very high paid high profile job !
One thing I’ve learnt from watching Teresa and joes whole legal battles play out on RHONJ is that as a woman I need to make sure if I ever get married I know EXACTLY what is coming in and what is going out from joint accounts and where that money is coming from! Because unfortunately when you let someone who is already doing bad things control your finances, you are probably going to end up being liable legally even if you genuinely didn’t know what was going on! ESPECIALLY if they are using your name on “business “ accounts or sending money to your “companies”!!!!!
