Followed step by step and within half an hour the job was done, and the car back on the road_cannot thank you enough
great video. managed to get the alternator out without removing the engine mounting. I just had to remove the brackets supporting the alternator at the bottom.
Great idea and video, worked well for me even with mine being the air on model……. Suzuki refused to quote, Bosch service said 500 euro at a starting point, using this video cost me 99euro and an hour with a mate! Only thing I did different was used an engine hoist. Cheers buddy!
This way doesn't work, i jacked up the motor but the air filter intake hits the top and the clearance you get until then is not enuf to get the alt. out. The only way i can tell is to remove the CV shaft, damn!

I walked the altenator to the next side of the engine bay by the transmission. I just moved the wiring harness and bracket out of the way.
I still believe with a car jack my way is easier. Thanks

You dont have to down engine for removing altaternater you should have to revemove engine crank pully

Let the jack back down opens it up more worked perfectly today
