I know this sounds cliche, but I really wish I had this video 12 years ago when I started playing guitar. Everything is crystal clearly explained, in a logical progression and it answers the actual question: how to connect scales, chords and CAGED ? I cannot thank you enough for creating this amazing content.

Very clear and straightforward lesson on triads. There are several places where the graphic is wrong though, showing the notes a half step lower on the fretboard, which is a bit confusing if you're not 100% familiar with the notes on the fretboard (why does this just sound so wrong?) 7:08 the root position, 8:42 all of them, 9:06 all of them.

I've found no one who explains theory better, however, I believe when he first begins with the graphic of the major triad from 2'05" to 2'28", the graphic of the "C Major Triad" erroneously shows the third as a" G"
. I'm a beginner and I had stopped/frozen the screen right at this graphic and I was in fits trying to understand how the "Third" could be a "G" in the C Major Scale until I realized it's just a momentary error; if I had noticed that the G was also shown at the "Fifth" in the graphic sooner, I would have saved some time, lol. Anyway, I'm still psyched from just watching his excellent video on "modes", so I'm here to one again understand theory for the first time after several attempts listening to other instructors whose explanations I could not understand.

But also, I don’t know if it’s the best choice to use that detuned, fuzzy tone for showing people what different voicings of chords sound like. Haha it makes it a little unclear when you’re listening to the same notes in different orders & trying to detect fairly subtle distinctions.
