I love the way you teach sir, however I am very apprehensive about purchaing an E-Book on it as there as so many mistakes in diagrams in this video. They are just way too many to not notice sir. Again totally enjoy your presentations.., it is perfect.
I know this sounds cliche, but I really wish I had this video 12 years ago when I started playing guitar. Everything is crystal clearly explained, in a logical progression and it answers the actual question: how to connect scales, chords and CAGED ? I cannot thank you enough for creating this amazing content.
I wish you all the best that can happen to a person in life. Really appreciate the amount of quality content you're sharing with the guitar-playing world. Poland's watching!
Thank You for your Channel. I've found my home. No babbling. Just intelligent, comprehendible lessons. Everything explained simply. Good teachers make learning fun, & easy.
Very clear and straightforward lesson on triads. There are several places where the graphic is wrong though, showing the notes a half step lower on the fretboard, which is a bit confusing if you're not 100% familiar with the notes on the fretboard (why does this just sound so wrong?) 7:08 the root position, 8:42 all of them, 9:06 all of them.
This is by far the best free teaching I have come across. Subscribed, liked, and added notification. Absolutely, will check out what's you got as paid contents! Bravo man!!!
For those who didn't noticed, there's a little mistake at 11:03, on the second inversion shape the b3 should be a half step lower. Anyway, this video is pure gold. You don't receive the recognition that you deserve. I talk about your channel in every occasion.
At 9:57 : there has been a mistake...... Its R b3 5 But On the diagram in the video its showing R maj 3rd and b5.... And also at 11:05 c dim(2nd inv) its b3 but the diagram is showing major 3rd Please do Correct me if I'm wrong 🙏 Thank you 🙏
When I started playing (and understanding) triads and there inversions, my whole playing got a crazy ramp up. I can't recommend getting triads under your belt enough! Really, get it! And again thanks to Rob for his wonderful, great content!
Thank you so much for putting this video together, this is such a comprehensive lesson. The progression of ideas presenting along with the visuals really helped this click for me!
I jump around a lot on TH-cam and have learned a lot of things from a lot of different creators. My guitar has too high an action so I avoided the hell out of chord theory once I found out about barre chords... still trying every once in a while but mostly just practicing open and power chords just to keep in touch with chord theory. I'm still a beginner, but every triad video I'd find wouldn't jive with me, I'd tune out. Perhaps it is just that I now know the pentatonic scale as well as major and minor (now the pentatonic phrygian variation) that I find I'm looking for the challenge of chords, maybe it was because you also introduce inversions, whatever it is thank you for making this simple enough to understand. I'm not even done watching the video!
Some of the missing pieces from my lessons back in 1976! It only took 45 years to arrive. Lol. Thanks for sharing the information in such a clear and concise way. This made it easy to see the rare niggles. Cheers, Lee
Nice lesson ! At 19:16 the Dm/F is dim instead of minor, the A should be above the D ;) This lesson is the most complete I saw on internet ! Great job !
that's a brilliant lesson! all of these are actually part of (or dissected out of the) CAGED chord system :) once you learn the caged penta and dia- tonics triads are considerably easier to visualise. ty for this
This is the easiest lesson to follow I have ever seen. Combining description of theory with graphics and sound examples seems to have gotten through to my dyslexic brain, thankyou thankyou thankyou!
This is probably the best and most methodical treatment of this topic I’ve seen, of many. Thank you. Another example from long ago, John zdenver’s “Ladt.”
Wow! This is so well done. Even after playing 25 years I still don't use enough of the less common inversions and triads. Love it when i find something that moves my playing forward again. 🎸🤘
God I love this channel, thank you for taking time out of your days to create this wonderful educational content. Because of this channel, I have grown as a guitarist.
Wow. I am only now delving into chords that are not simply power chords for the most part, and I am grateful for the thoroughness of the explaination using the theory instead of just shapes. Very nice!! Thank you
Goodness Rob, I wish somebody showed me this Poly-Chord thing at least 40 years ago! I never thought, that I will get my theory "sh**" together. In fact ... all the Triad lessons - Spread Triads and so on - have been really enlightening! Thank you for this straightforward and cristal clear explanations! I wish you a safe and happy ride into the new year 😎🥃🙏
at minute 19:18 the chord letters are misplaced. There it should say A - C - F and not A - F - C because if you play the B string on the first fret it gives you a C and not an F. Just a little clarification, good video.
Thank you for the video and well detailed lessons. You are truly a great teacher. If you had a guitar course for intermediate and advanced guitarists i would be your student. Great stuff 🎸

Super clear well thought out lesson. Thanks so much...
Do you have lefty version books?
I love when diminished chords are not treated as "almost never used so we'll skip them" - thank you for a COMPREHENSIVE lesson 👏
Jesus, whatever teacher said that should never be allowed to teach music!
@@Gregorypeckorymost of them on youtube
@@Gregorypeckoryalmost all do it mostly because you really dont hear diminished but learning something cant hurt with guitar so 🤷♂️
Diminished is used in modern music ..it gives a vibes of coming back home... It sounds great...from pop jazz metal ul find them...
Probably the most thorough explanation of triads in one video on TH-cam. Thanks!

Loved how straigtforwrad you got the idea across when many seem incapable of no matter how hard they try. that was very smart. Thank you
This is the best video ive seen for someone coming from piano. Thank you This makes sense
This should be marked as the definitive lesson on Triads, amazing work, clear, concise, good examples.
Best guitar triad video on TH-cam!

Thank you.

Incredible as expected from your channel. Such information presented in digestible format. Really love your lessons and other vids!

When you know all the triad placements of a chord with 1st and 2nd inversions you know the guitar neck!! Tnx.
