As a Canes fan this was the best moment in the Canes history.. We waited 21 years for a well deserved title and we finally got it.. I've supported this team since a young lad growing up in Wellington and still supporting them.. This finals makes up for the 2015 one
Congratulations Canes on your championship run this year!!! as usual the team from New Zealand wins as in my humble opinion (Im a Yank ) New Zealand is the best at rugby at any level if you dont beleive it just ask the Wallibies and Boks after the last 2 Webb Ellis cup championship runs in 2011&2015, again congratulions to the Canes
Well we all knew the weather was going to be miserable. Perhaps now the Lions supporters will acknowledge that travel fatigue and home-ground advantage (climate/altitude) are all very real things. And if you didn't like the work of the NZ referee, think about the fact that two SA refs were in charge of the Lions games against the Crusaders & Highlanders!
Well by that logic all teams should be well prepared for what Wellington will offer in winter?! It was forecast over a week ahead of the game, and the Lions still couldn't adjust - no excuse for that. And as for quality referees, how many game-deciding errors can Craig Joubert make before he's given the boot? And Jaco Peyper is the kind of man that changed his entire interpretation of a game at half time after chatting with Michael Chieka (then Waratahs coach)!
Well deserved by Hurricanes even if the tries were a bit "soft" from Lions errors but was always going to be tough for them traveling across for the final. I'm clearly a Joburg boy but have to say the Hurricane's are by far my favorite NZ team top shelf they're wild and unpredictable and not robotically clinical like the Crusaders I can't even watch their games anymore I'm actually bored by how predictably good they are😂 Hurricanes always their biggest threat but how awesome to see a South African team like the Lions playing that style and, barring this final, pretty much beat the kiwis (and fellow saffas) at their own game throughout the season awesome to witness for us fanatics 👌 an anomaly and sad we're not in super rugby anymore but rugby is constantly evolving, it seems a long shot now but I really hope the southern hemisphere teams will reunite once again💪 Lions not doing great in URC but early days👊🤺
