Mugen has come a long way since the MVC days.
With only Venom and Spidey officially released by Capcom, look at what we have today.
If only Capcom released this in the 90s. Just imagine.
yeah, why they never did some things... Or preferred some weird characters like marrow to the likes of Archangel or Beast. Remember I had many placeholder dud characters in my roster, just to get a feel of what spidey or x men game could be. But now they all filled)
And be sure to check this latest version man, it has some improvements, including Tombstone (his main special much more useful now with additional hitdef. New ai was just countering old version way too often. So useful, I even had to reduce his defence from 150 to 135 and lower ai random values for all specials and hypers to balance it out)
I hope this gets moved to Ikemen at some point. I've really enjoyed seeing Kraven added to the roster, and taking advantage of the Ikemen engine will only add to this masterpiece.
*I really* respect the effort you've put forth into this gem.Honestly, this seems more like a legitimate Capcom style 90's fighting game than literally any other Mugen project I've ever seen.
Keep on adding to it, keep it as "spider-man centric" as you can...aka no guest heroes from the greater Marvel Universe, and easy on the "spider-verse" entrants...and you are going to have a long-lasting gem on your hands.
Eventually you'll tap out on the Spider-Man roster, and then you can do a Spider-Man vs X-Men game -- but that should be way in the distant future!

Also I really think there could also be a game like this with Batman characters. There’s already a bunch of stages made and everything.

Heyo! Man , your Spider-Man mugen is amazing. It took me right back to being a kid again. The music, the roster-- you & whoever else helped you on this deserve all the respect. This is amazing.
Incredible fights man! I was so hyped seeing venom beating asses with those combos. I hope you and the team who worked on this project makes an ikemmen version of this.
I like the improvements you did, on rhino (that hyper where he throws a car at his opponent is exceptionally good) Vulture, tombstone, venom, and some others. the portraits of shocker, hobgoblin, kingpin and lizard look alot better now.
5:21 rhino throwing the car is a cool hyper, but on a logical standpoint he just grabbed a car in a sewer and threw it lol...I would love to see him use it on top the moving subway 🤭
@@Handle...This. in a logical way, that's true, however, this is mugen, plus, chars like the thing, she hulk, venom (in the lethal syndicate mugen) grundy, and now rhino, have this move as well. L
Thanks man! Ikemen, actually tried to move it at one point, but it produced some bugs, and didn't really felt like any features are must-have, so dropped the idea. And hobgoblin and shocker portraits are better now thanks to Wil.li.an)
@@Handle...This. I mean you could think that it have fallen from the street upper level with the fighters😀 but, yeah in mugen there are things like that. Sandman would probably turn into mud, fighting in the sewer, doc ock pulling out a rock, when the floor is just metal elevator, same rhino or tombstone having intros with the cars, when many levels are on rooftops, characters sticking to walls in open stages like the beach, etc etc. You just would have to suspend you disbelief on those😀
@@jamesvazquez4961 I mean there is code possibility to block things dependant on the stage name, but I think it would be wrong to not let characters use some moves in some stages

Thanks man, he calls only those 2, I was thinking about 3rd option but didnt think of anything good. people suggested elektra or bullseye, but those were never in Tas.. Prowler also came to mind, but I couldnt really think of a good thing he could do from the distance, which would also make sense and don't feel like it was done only for the sake of including him. So yeah, only those 2 felt like they should be inthere

the game is so rad, one of best mugen game i have ever see. most of them cram every character they find in their games and it makes them super cheap and bootleg but this one looks like a legit game from past
Thanks! Tbh I thought it would be much faster to make something like this, but the deeper I went, the more I found things that needed changes, mostly in code, just for balance and roster consistency sake. Then, when I think I am done, I would find new things that needed changes. There are probably still some things like that left. Alot of hours went with that work that gives pretty minor effects. But I'm really glad you guys appreciate it
