I think that’s an attack cancel trick. You do the air dodge or some other option into a rapid jab and once you’ve got the rapid going you can hold A until you don’t need to rapid jab anymore. As long as you initiate the rapid jab during another animation you can act while Luma is rapid jabbing

@@Neonaccelerator I think it doesn’t work with dodge. Only Up B. It’s kinda of a niche trick that won’t be used in 99% of games. Edit: and if luma jabs the enemy out of a grab.

Great video Dabuz! As someone who regularly uses attack cancels and tries his best to squeeze every bit of Rosa tech into my gameplay, hearing your take on tech applications was really eye opening! An issue I feel like myself and most mid-level Rosas have is focusing too much on tech execution and less on application. Please, for all us mid-level Rosas, continue to post videos that focus on practicality!

There is an easier way to do the air dodge attack cancel.
Set X to grab and you can do: Attack (A) -> jump (Z) -> grab (X) while holding the directional input down and forward or down and away.

I tried attack cancelling a long time ago and couldn't get it. Then managed to do it when just normally pressing A and mapping jump to shoulder. Never put in the time to consistently pull out off in a match.
Definitely would like to see more Rosa videos!

If you're doing a claw-grip, you can use your index finger to hit Y instead of assigning a shoulder to jump. I found this easuer to learm than shoulder jump, but YMMV

Boost grabs can be done easily enough by mashing A and Z -almost- at the same time. It's not a hard input to learn once you've done it a few timrles.

For anyone looking for more techs. NickLeo is a very good Rosa and Luca guide and also covering almost every single tech that there is necessary when playing Rosa. Wilksy15 is also a really cool TH-camr however doesn’t post as much so a lot of his techs are outdated a bit but still usable. This TH-camr covers more of the unpractical tech but looks super saucy when done. Both are very good TH-camrs to learn from and helps understand at least how Rosa and luma works because since they are so technical you end up having so many weird interactions to come up with random combos on the go. Hope I could help people looking for more info!
