Hang in there. I'm in Hue', and it's had it's moments but looking for the blessings is key. Although getting gouged for in country visa extensions, things are opening back up and things returning to some normalcy. Canay is doing ok but everyone there is still in panic mode and I have way more freedom here than I'd I returned home. Hopefully 5 more months here and can continue to see the country now. 🙏♥️
I guess all foreigners that decided to stay put are facing the same exact situations across different countries. We all have to think positive and eventually this virus will go away soon (fingers crossed). Stay safe in Vietnam 🙂🙂

Being LOCKED-DOWNED in LANGKAWI will be ALMOST every Malaysians' dream. lol... I used the term almost because I bet those folk from Langkawi wished they were lockdowned in Kuala Lumpur or some other major cities.

Hang in there, don’t give up and it looks pretty good life style you have in Langkawi now. Cheap alcohol compare to the rest of Malaysia.
We don’t drink very often but when we do it’s better when the alcohol is cheaper 😂
We are enjoying being here and having a routine something that we didn’t have since we started travelling in 2017, but now we miss travel days, hopefully in the future we can go back to travelling again 😁

You guys should try toast bread with kaya (coconut jam) + butter. It tastes like heaven. Kaya can be found in almost all market at the bread section. Better if you buy Gardenia bread brand.
We’ve tried before, every single hostel that offers free breakfast in Malaysia has kaya bread butter and jams. We like kaya but we are not wowed by it 😬🙈😄

They are the best, they were both stray cats and the owner of this place took them in a few years ago, the female is more shy and more independent than the male (white one), the male just wants all our attention 24/7 😂

Langkawi was and still is free of cases for a long time that’s why we didn’t wear a mask 😷 before, but now since interstate travelling is allowed again we always use a mask 😉😉

Some country right now facing a lot of trouble and problem to handle with, i heard a lot from foreigners who are curently stay in Malaysia, they just said they so lucky being lock down in this country.
We feel very grateful and lucky that we got “stuck” in Malaysia during this crazy pandemic, Malaysia is doing very well dealing with the virus and we hope after CMCO they allow the foreigners to stay here a bit longer 😁

The cats are the owners cats, they were stray cats and the owners of this place started to feed them and then ended up keeping them 👌😁

The only down side is that we are in an island but we haven’t been to the beach since March 😅
Esta situação toda começa a ser irritante mas o que importa é estarem bem 🙂 e o sítio onde estão nem é nada mau. 😁 E ainda ganharam 2 companhias tão fofas 😍
A situação não é ideal mas vai-se passando, andamos entretidos e o mais importante é que temos espaço para andar, não estamos trancados num apartamento entre 4 paredes.
Esperamos que esteja tudo bem com vocês também 😉🙂
The shop have secret compartment 😂 wow
I guess they don’t have space in the shop for the alcohol so they that found a room to store the wine at a good temperature and the beer id just sitting there in a corridor 🙃🙃
Usually in Malaysia the is a special room or compartment for the non muslim. In Malaysia m
It may be for 3 reason.
1) its a 'marketing' thing. Some people especially Muslim is too sensitive regarding alcohol. If the shop like this selling this non halal, probability for Muslim customer not to buy from the shop is high.
Compared to to mall like tesco/aeon etc which selling non halal food in a specific corner openly, because this kind of mall is more 'liberals ' in Malaysian mind.
2) it is required by local authorities , if they want to sell alcohol must be in secluded part in the store.
May be because it is a duty free land.
Compared to Labuan this alcohol is selling openly in most duty free shop. But i don't think i ever seen wine selling, most of it is other alcohol beverage.
3) they actually illegally sell it, may be they don't have permits, 😅.
So they have to create a secluded store.
You guys should try the beer Tiger its very delicous not gonna lie...you will also gonna be haus" after you drink that beer😂😂
