    thanks for the great tour, just a side note and I hope you don't mind it, try to keep your shutter speed low, as it is a bit distracting and gives the video a static look.

    And if you are really into it, even the same/similar dish may taste differently from hawker to hawker. So there might be same type of food at each hawker but occasionally have their own secret recipes so they taste different.

    • @VietLeTravel
      @VietLeTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed! After trying out the popular and less popular places, it's definitely worth finding your preferred hawker. Definitely coming back to try more places 🤟

    The oyster cake is quite a traditional dish. Not many places sell it anymore.

    Wondering is eftpos commonly accepted at food courts in Sg? or Cash Only? Thank you, hope to get an answer :)

    • @VietLeTravel
      @VietLeTravel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Almost exclusively cash only from our experience for traditional Hawkers. However, the modern food courts in shopping centres will likely have card. Hope that helps! 😊

    Personally and I stress my personal thought, I think the soya sauce chicken is overrated. But if you were at the Market Complex, why didn't you try the original stall that started from there?

    • @VietLeTravel
      @VietLeTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate the opinion, good to have differing views! I didn't realise it was in the complex until after we finished our trip, definitely my fault 😅

    • @py2331
      @py2331 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VietLeTravel 😆 It happens! Oh, I tried it from the restaurant like you did, and I wasn’t too impressed. I thought and gave benefit of doubt that the original stall might be better, though I haven’t got a chance to try it yet. Nonetheless, I enjoyed your video. Thanks for the wonderful insight!

    Can I ask why they are called Hawkers ?

    • @VietLeTravel
      @VietLeTravel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, quick google search came up with "In most places where the term is used, a hawker sells inexpensive goods, handicrafts, or food items."
      Hawkers were historically mobile vendors which were easily transported. Hawker centres then were built off the idea of cheap and affordable vendor offerings in one convenient location. Hope this helps with your question!
