I was weeping profusely today when I listened to 'By The River' on my way to work this morning in Houston, Texas. RIP Peetah. My heart goes to the entire Morgan Heritage Family and their fans.
Thank you Morgan Heritage . First music I ever bought was the Full Circle album and I was 15 with my school lunch money back in Gambia, they later came to Gambia and of cause I attended the show cause I was already a fan. From that time till today I can say I listened to Morgan heritage if not daily but I can say 20% of the music I listen. Last saw them in NYC SOB’s 2019 and had the chance to meet them back stage which was one the best day of my life. I’m a big reggae (1995-2022) and my music plays list probably 80% Reggae. I can say I listen to every Heritages album countless time and also their live performances. I learned so much about Black Culture and history as a whole through their music.. i looked on their website at least once a month for shows around NYC ,I mean I can go forever… thank you Peetah and my condolences to the whole Morgan family and CTBC music group. I’m in my early 30’s transitioning never hits me like this one. Rest in Peace KING 👑 PEETAH.
Peetah had love ❤️ for Kenya 🇰🇪 I feel bad, I have lost a DEAR brother. He was a genuine person with all respect.. He sung with geat passion. He was so energetic and vibrant while on stage. Its a very BIG blow to Gramps, Mojo and the entire band. I can imagine how you shall start again without Peetah 😢 so sad 😞 How I wish it was a lie. My heart is so heavy from 25th Feb,2024 when the news came in. Am still in denial how can it be Peetah, how how how ? ???? Am.so heartbroken 💔...the pain I have only God knows. I never knew I can feel this way for someone I have only seen on screens but not met . Peetah you were a good person. If only you could Return If Possible 😢😢😢💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

Saw them live in Paris on the Legacy-Tour 2022, a lifechanging experience. They were sooo good in every possible way. This here comes as close to the real thing as possible (compliments to the band and the soundcrew) and this is how Peetah should be remembered. A perfect tribute to the man and his brothers, maybe a future live record on vinyl... ;)
