Augusta is a very pleasant little town. The tours of the Rosemary Clooney house are nice, there are several nice restaurants in town, nice little shops, ferry ride, and pretty surrounding countryside. Mayberry but Better😁

Cincinnati chili and a cotton candy milkshake from Graeter’s. It’s things like these that keep me from moving out of southwest Ohio. Another great video John.

Great show. I liked that you crossed the Ohio River on the Augusta Ferry. Then going home on another ferry.

Thank you! Yeah we were hoping they were both open that day because it was Christmas Eve. Worked out!

Oh, I have seen that White Christmas. I completely forgot that she was in that movie. To be honest Kay and Crosby are such stars in that movie that when I think of it, those two are who I think of almost exclusively

Classic movie! We used to go to the Clooney’s restaurant from time to time.

I love White Christmas. Speaking of neighborhoods, Bing Crosby grew up just a couple streets down from where I lived a couple of years ago in Tacoma, Wa. They have a plaque in front of his old home as well. His old house was walking distance from my house, and I drove down his street often on my way to the grocery store. It's a gorgeous neighborhood filled with old Victorian homes, and 100 year old trees that bloom in the spring and burst of color in the fall. And has a nice view of the Puget Sound and Commencement Bay.

Neat day and fun with your brother and nephew. Cheese topped plate looked delicious. Finished off with ice cream and crossing river on ferryboat homeward. Neat.😊

There are two ferries in the Sacramento River Delta, in California, that look like the Augusta Ferry you took. It's a different way to cross a river.
    As always, enjoying your content

It’s definitely a unique way to cross! And the ones in Ohio/Kentucky were only $5 per car. Thanks for watching!

This is a great one. I once drove an hour out of my way to get some Skyline Chili. I have never had a better Caesar Salad or Beans and Rice in my life. It's like a Cafe du Monde beignet in New Orleans or real sourdough in San Francisco or a Chicago hot dog. You can't explain it to the uninitiated and it doesn't taste as good anywhere else.

Always fun to go exploring near where I grew up! And I definitely miss Skyline!

What a gypy tour, blink and you miss rt. 8 and I see the key hole is still there as a failed bar and you didn't show us the yacht club former site sunk in 2019.is the shark sign still there?

Thanks for watching! Yeah I could’ve made a much longer video, but I tried to give the viewer an idea of what it was like to just drive through. Lots of interesting places that could be videos all their own! I don’t know about the yacht club or sign. What town is that in?

Huh. I thought Rosemary was from Maysville. Thanks.

She was actually born in Maysville, but must’ve moved just down the river to Augusta at some point.
