Got selected in BASLP AT AYJNISHD Kolkata, got 14th Rank , general pcb.
Although i just appeared for the exam without any prep , and i appeard for a lot of exams like neet , cuet , jenpas, aiims paramedical, svnirtar cuttack.
Literally the exam at AYJNISHD Kolkata went the worst , now , none of the paramedical courses are my preference, gona drop my seat , will be opting for Agriculture . MIGHT be i am unluckily to get a govt bsc ag seat this year , but argi is my passion, will definitely fight for it, definitely opt for it .
Got selected in BASLP at CRC Guahati , my rank was 578 in Svnirtar.

Sorry to say that this course was launched in 1992, and still it's growing? .there are no Govt opportunities. Job vacancies as compared to Nurses, Radiographers in the Govt sector are extremely Low maybe once in 5 years/10 years. The salary structure of the BASLP as an Audiometer technician is very less than the Nurses and are treated as CLASS III employees. One should be very cautious while taking this decision. Aspirants know the prospects that are why there is very less competition as there is no growth opportunities especially if the students are from middle-class backgrounds

@@indranilbanerjee2804 if u want a govt job n wants stability for 30 years. Then I think after diploma of phatmacy, u can have wider opportunity to be placed as give employee at pay matrix 5 ( class 3).there r less vacancies for audiometrician n physiotherapists. But pay matrix of physiotherapists is high as compare to baslp Or bpharma/ dpharma. But u want to rise in private sector, then bpharma could be the best. There are several multinationsl companies in pharmacy. After starting ur career as salesman u can reach up to president/ sales head after 15/20 years n ur experience only matters. There r no growth avenues of baslp Or not in private sector, n life is stagnant
But what about abroad? I heard the job opportunities for this are pretty good outside india....
@@harleyquinn5531 You are absolutely right. For the US, the only requirement for Speech Pathologists is to have a minimum Master's degree with CCC/CFY. But again, the salary structure is very poor compared to other professionals. You have to live paycheck to paycheck. There are plenty of videos on TH-cam; you can judge from their version. Don't compare the US dollar with INR because in the US, you have to spend everything in dollars. It's very hard to survive there with a meager salary, as after deductions from taxes, insurance, rent, etc., there's nothing left in hand. The salary of speech therapists is almost 1/4 of that of medical specialists there. So, there's a wide difference in those countries too.

I am studying BASLP. And after 1 year i have realised that it would been much better if i would have opted for physiotherapy rather than this course
Because we are called audiometry technician no matter how much we study and we also doesn't get respect and also our teacher's have told us that you choose wrong course and i am really depressed right now and want to change my course but can't because my family won't allow me 😓
Plz guys don't go for this rather take physiotherapy or pharmacy or BHMS. But not BASLP or else you will regret later:-| PEACE OUT
R u crazy? My dad is a physiotherapist, and pt students are in depression now a days due to lack of job vacancy, baslp is much better than pt or ot... Go get into a good Institute by ur merit and u will got to know, pity u

As speech therapist u csn place at pay matrix 6 while audio technician u can place at pay matrix 5 which is class 3 post in govt sector. Starting salary in govt sector is 50-60 k thousand depending upon ur location if u r appointed on regular basis while contract employee r getting 25-28 k only. In private sector starting salary is 25/35 k only

I am student of baslp and i would really recommend bpt or pharmacy rather than baslp because no matter how much you study you would be called audiometry technician and your pay will be less:-(
