@@elexxa2268 if you play strong early game champs you can abuse any Nasus. I mostly play Fiora and Jax and haven't ever had problems with Nasus. Fiora isn't that good into him (lvl 10 onwards Nasus W is too strong and you can't kill him with FH + armor boots), but with Jax you can abuse both Nasus and his jungler

The reason why they are saying Riven is overpowered is because they can't do anything.
When you talk about fundamentals and zoning, only a few champions can actually do that, meaning that only a few champions can get your lead which you are so proud of.
@@giovannidozziwdym ? Any early game champ can do it, darius, olaf, trundle, fiora, any range vs melee matchup. Top is basically counter pick land, that shit happen all the time. Riven is overloaded for sure but the dude do the same shit with basically every champ he played on his unrank to master. I mean i get the riven bashing, i too think she should be nerf especially the Q delay but the fundamentals he teaches are actually good advices, its not like he play for 10+ years...

@@LexflipRO like any riven hater, you don't understand how the champ works or don't read the whole situation :
1) even though she already used her ult active, she's still getting the % AD steroids from it which is the most impactfull part of her ult, and used the active to get nasus very low, low enough to be unable to engage her. That makes it more a 1VS1.25 than a 1V2.
2) Riven is LVL 6 while nasus and kindred are both lvl 4. that's a BIG lvl diff, very early in the game (as a result of the lvl 1 xp denial #fundamentals)
3) Riven has 3 longswords + pickaxe while kindred hasn't reset yet (only jungle starter item) and nasus only has Dshield, t1 boots and the 5ah item. So basically, only nasus' 450g Dshield has any value there VS Riven's 1825g full AD. Nasus and kindred are basically fighting naked VS riven holding a gatling gun.
4) they had no wards and kindred facechecked riven despite her entire HP bar being about half of Riven's damage output. If it weren't for that blunder, riven would've died, or at least not gotten any kill. It was still a very clutch play, that shouldn't have lead anywhere if they played it correctly.
With all that together, any other toplaner would destroy nasus and kindred the same way, if not harder. Darius renek or illaoi would regen from the gank. Any ranged top would OS any of the 2 before the other can get in reach, and then kill the other if he doesn't get out. A tank would just statcheck the fight. Etc. Even some less aggressive champ like ornn could easely destroy the fight with such a gap. And riven still died there, most toplaners wouldn't even get close to be at risk of diing even if they went head on into the fight.

@@marianorivera3272 as Alois has been proving to us, you can easily hit masters with fundamentals alone. A genuine diamond player is, 99% of the time, not as disciplined as he could be, therefore not playing with fundamentals. Think about it like this, if you were facing Alois in one of his smurfs, how can you try to beat him, knowing full well his plans since he has the funds.

If you were Nasus in this situation, would you have gone with different items? Maybe E start to get the three melees, or cloth/boots + 4 potion start to trade HP for the Exp. ? Or is it just lost if you're a champ with such a weak early game and your opponent gets to do this to you?
With the amount of content you release, I'm sure you have a video about this already somewhere, or it's in your courses already-- I'll be looking through to see, but if anyone has specific direction they could provide, that'd be appreciated.
A good tip in this situation is to get vision early. If you face check where riven is early she will zone you. If he comes from river then he can for sure get the xp and run back to his tower. Thats just his lvl 1 many things nasus has to do to survive a lane like this many not pretty. He will be abused early just gotta hope riven wont snowball on you is his play. Hope that helps cheers!
Diamond toplaner here, so definitely not as good as Alois, but typically you'd want to start E against someone you KNOW will abuse you level 1 (Jax/Riven for example), and THEN get Q lvl 2. This saves you from the EXP strat and as long as you play safe and don't take unnecessary risks (the Nasus was shoving his balls up for one last hit) then you'll eventually scale up. Nasus' mistake here was dying to Riven a million times giving her enough of a spike and lead to essentially one shot the whole team.
At this point too I'd tell my jungle to never gank unless they know it's a guaranteed kill because we can't risk a snowballing Riven. This unintentionally loses priority for toplane but lessens the possible chances of a 1v2 happening especially with an understacked Nasus and a 2-levels down Kindred
After a decent time has passed and you've bought some armor items, Riven should literally be zero threat later on, and you can focus on running down their ADC/splitpushing

So just to learn here. What should the Nasus do to play against this? Or are you just doomed when playing a champ that is weak in both fighting and farming early-game unless your jgl helps

@@sefulaBAN1I think so too. Nasus specifically should go doran ring and take e lvl 1 so he can try to farm at least. E max Nasus was also a thing, not sure about lately.
The idea is to try to break the freeze without taking too much damage. If you're vs Darius for example, try to get him to hit the wave with Q, not just you.
@@Denis-xl8jxyeah few points e early can really help in bad matchups. Also an alternative could be going full earlygame rune settup with boneplating, conqueror and ignite to be able to fight for prio but thats probably not the best option for nasus
You take something like summon aery and manaflow band and farm from 1 mile away what you can, if riven zones you from exp take the L and poke her with E. If you don't bleed too much in early laning phase riven gets rolled
@@jobibonobi it's definitely worth fighting. I play strong lane champs (Fiora and Jax mostly) so I go aggressive setup vs other strong early champs, but I assumed OP doesn't and based my answer on that

If they play perfect U always end up like that, nasus wasn't even too weak this game just tilted into lose. Can stay in bush and wait for first 3 melees to die
You start E and farm with it until you get some armor.
basically not a lot, just suffer the exp/gold lost, safe farm, only last farm, sustain, dont int and let them snowball by killing you, give proper vision and ping, out scale them. Nasus could buy 1 armor and potions to sustain

Why would you deserve to do well early playing a scaling champ with zero skill expression
Do you have any content specifically on how to get from master to challenger/gm? I went through your patreon and didn't rly find anything besides for riven games in challenger. I know that it would be a much smaller audience since 95% of players are below master but i would gladly get a patreon subscribtion for that. It's just that the current content isn't rly all that usefull to me since it's mostly how to reach up until master, which i can confidently do with most champions.
I think in toplane matchups start becoming a lot more important at that point, make sure you're getting a good lastpick everytime when redside and have a consistent blind when you're blueside. As long as you're playing the lane clean, and keeping track of jgers/laners (special attention if its something like pyke/bard/janna on supp, tf/talon/ahri mid etc). In higher elos players become more aggresive so keep in mind any bad habits you might've developed from playing in low elo.
Imagine telling the guy who got to challenger with pretty much every toplane champ to play a "real champ"

There's another comment asking the same, check it out. Basically, if you afk under turret, you're asking to lose
This is a trick I learn from Alois by the way, so these bully champ like Riven and Darius trying to zone you away from the exp in front of your turret, the way to counter is to ward the first bush, if the bully is there, go back all the way to the river bush, and walk up from there when the minions hp is low, they can't punish you fast enough because they can't gap close, now you get the Exp and that's the first step to go a decent lane, and if you're a nasus in high elo, expect bully from everyone, E start and get that gold first then stack later don't be greedy, land E perfectly and not hit too many minions as well to not make the wave push
alternative is that if you ward the first bush and riven attack you, your minion gonna start hitting on Riven and that mean your minion stop hitting the enemy team minion mean it will push toward you, lead you to farm in a safe spot as well, and last hit as late as possible
you're not going to win lane with this but it's decent and more healthy

tbh? The Nasus knew he would fight the Riven. You didnt even go Fleeth anymore atm. Runes that are valid? Phaserush + inspiration against Champions you could stack easy without big risk, if you play against Lanebullys like Riven? You go Summonaery with D-Ring and go E-Max first or at least 3 or 4 Points in your E to poke. Against Riven E-start is strong because you cant walkup into the minions so stacking is impossible and with your E with more than 2 Points and D ring with Summon Aery you could poke the Riven of lane without breaking a sweat.
