Coming from a West Ham fan, Old Trafford has a shocking atmosphere whenever we play them. But United away fans are one of the best in the league

Was watching the game and was very surprised to see the Red Army singing and singing. Hope they sort something out we have fantastic fans. Stretford end is always bouncing. #GGMU 💜
our away support is so much better than the support at home games. at away games, the 5000 people from united outsing the whole place, but with 75000 at Old Trafford, you could probably hear a pin drop it’s so quiet

when united was in amsterdam it was just nothing! No sing, no good riots, nothing! Dissapointed in united!
It should be like this every week!!! Its about time United get our atmosphere right, we need to follow the likes of bayern, psg and madrid who separate a few sections throughout the stadium to make great atmosphere but also safe so ppl dont moan. We also should think about putting a drum in because that will lead to constant chanting.

When I go to games, only in the stretford end do people sing and clap but whenever I sit elsewhere, its only me doing the chanting and clapping. I think drums will liven up the place like it does at other grounds, or like I said they should make the L stand for home fans and put the away fans in a corner in the east stand. Clapping is better as it suits our chants more but nobody seems to be committed to constant chanting unless we play city or liverpool
We don't want to manufacture an atmosphere.
Why can't they just make a singing section on the opposite corner at stretford end?

For a second, i thought you were talking about Brighton who were shocking considering the numbers they had. They were outside OT singing "Can you hear United sing" yet only sung about 5 songs during the game.
Great effort by everyone in L Stand, i could hear you perfectly from Stretford end, we need that every single game!!

Football fans Away. That's what it is then. We couldn't hear you because you were in tier 2 of the east stand. Normally away fans come and say they can't hear us sing but Stretford end tier 2 sings all game, they just can't hear us because we're up in the gods. That can't be an excuse for Brighton though, you had 5,000 fans.
As for us, how can you say we were terrible after watching this video? I was in the Stretford end (opposite stand from you) and could hear every single chant in this video.

This needs to happen permanently! I’ll move my seat with no hesitation! Make that section a safe standing section. Keep fans of that section outside until 1 hour to kick off then Keep fans in the concourse to create an atmosphere first till players come out to warm up. Fans should create huge intimidating flags which the club can approve and everyone should carry a scarf. Introduce a megaphone 📢 and a drum to get everyone to start singing a particular song. Not constant drumming. This will be amazing !!! Also the stadium announcer need to repeat the goal scorers first name while we shout out his surname several times, play a song everytime we score too would be great

in my opinion they should move the away fans directly behind the goal at the east stand and give that corner to the united fans, just look at the difference in atmosphere

Not really. It would have been just as good. This has been planed for around 6 week now, and everyone in there requested to move. L stand had lads in that wanted to get behind the team and it worked. That was a proper United end and it felt like an away game.

Christian Mariani brighton fans brought more fans so were at the top tier so the usual way spot was covered with united fans
It was given to us with the understanding that you could stand with your mates and get behind the team. It was a singing section for that game and it worked. It was a proper United end and everyone in it got behind the team and it was none stop singing. The club need to look at moving us in there. Very proud of us in there last night. Without that section last night would have been horrible.

It was mate. It really worked well having that section for season ticket holders who wanted to get behind the team. I was proud to be a part of that last night. On our day, we can create a brilliant atmosphere, it's just a shame that come the Swansea game next it'll be shit again.

Old Trafford isn't the best for atmosphere but last night and Liverpool was class.the L stand was given to season ticket holders and the whole idea was to get behind to stand with their mates and create an atmosphere and it worked. Last night was amazing from start to finish and everyone in that area got behind the team.
It's just nothing period. Worst atmosphere in the prem, and their songs are mostly about scousers even though Rooney a horrible treacherous scouser, has scored more than any manc has. Hahahaha how embarrassing is that. No treacherous manc legends at Liverpool....perish the thought. 20 Times Man United I have.. Have also been to Old Trafford and of all the grounds I've been to in my time i can resoundingly say it is has quietest home support i've seen.. Saying that u've been to the emirates so maybe its not that bad..

It’s good because it’s a step into getting the atmosphere back to 30-40 years ago where United were the most feared fans in the world and the noise in the ground was mental. Of course United is one of the quieter clubs at home because United are so big all these tourists take the working class lads seats and they’ve just come to see United and make the atmosphere worse, we were the best home fans in the country a while back and we still are the best away fans.
