I used to work in public health with pregnant moms. Mostly black. Now I’m about to become a birth worker. And I’m over here just as irritated as you. Let’s do less talk and more action. It’s always just a discussion. Until the next years numbers come out. I’m a firm believer in home births OR having a strong advocate that is fluent in health literacy. Who will make sure you’re safe and heard. It’s also not just the maternal ward. Not just black women. Our men too. All wardsssss.
