So true. They were right next to each other the entire volume but barely spoke to each other despite them both going through so very very much
I tried to fluff up this video as much as possible with all the Weiss content I could, but really wish there was more I could've included
I feel like Weiss is used to riding with Ruby when little red here uses her semblance. Blake, not so much
They are partners. It makes sense that the ride is part of their combo attacks
Here's the thing. Weiss and Ruby doing that combo changes each individual petal of Ruby's semblence. Weiss connects with her on a molecular level. True soul binding to redefine how the soul presents itself. Nobody else changes Ruby's semblence left over that way.
@@Blackdragon99omfgwe see it happen with her and nora in volume 4 and i wouldn't say they're particularly close. i think it happens if she does it with only one person, since the instances where their colors don't meld is when she does it with only one person (i.e. nora in volume 4, weiss during the train fight). i do think though that because weiss has done so with ruby multiple times, she's used to how it feel. also, i like to think blake has a fear of rollercoasters and similar rides because she was equally disheveled after riding the transport tubes.
@@notalkmeimangyy She does the same attack, BUT Nora and her remain seperated via their colours. You see questionably 2 pink petals. Not the half/half petals.
We see touches of colour when she ports the group too, but again, not COMBINED colourations.
Roosterteeth was ALWAYS sneaking tiny details like this into their scenes with RWBY.
Yang wearing shades to hide her eyes to dodge the rules. Blake stalking her before the Ursai. How their semblance matches the other's eyecolour.
Or how partners always wear an aspect of their partner in their outfits. Moreso romantic. EG: Ren and Nora. With the pink shoocks. OR Yang wearing the off colour purple hairband when Blake was on her mind, then on her knee when she was hunting Ruby.
Lots of symbolics.
1:25. This is strange. All the other times Ruby have used her semblance with another person, there have been two colors of petals. This time it was just red.
Weird. Maybe CRWBY couldn't figure out how to animate it with so many different colors

I really hope they have a heartfelt conversation in v10 and become canon. They really need more interaction it feels like RoosterTeeth is forgetting about ruby and weiss and how important their relationship is
Really does feel like they're setting up Weiss and Jaune but i still really a good conversation between Ruby and her entire team about all the trauma she's been through, giving everyone a chance to talk to her and have some real emotional moments
it would seem like that unfortunately. to me White rose makes total sense and feels way more realistic than WK. ruby and Weiss have great chemistry and relationship of trust , whereas white knight feels forced and unnatural, especially since shes shown no interest in jaune whatsoever since the beginning. And i agree, a team heartfelt conversation is definitely needed after v9.
@@misssinister1565 WK feels almost like wish fulfillment at this point, like if you just never give up, you can eventually get the hot rich girl to fall in love with you. lol
I was certainly rooting for Jaune when Weiss agreed to go to the movies with him and Oscar, and I loved Weiss being attracted to mature Jaune as he was basically her childhood crush, but yeah, I don't feel any real chemistry between them.
Maybe we'll see that next volume with a more mature, aged Jaune, who's better able to fight and lead his team.
I kind of hope they touch Whiteknight but reveal the layers of it being a clinging to old fantasies. Jaune was in love with Pyrrha while idolising the idea of Weiss. I think having the idealations come and recognise they aren't reality would be amazing growth. Especially since its kind of set up Jaune is going to die to Cinder in a grand sacrifice. (Pyrrha was Achilies, died to arrow in the achilies.) (Jaune, Joan of Ark, dies to fire.)

That scene where Ruby lost it and got frustrated, Yang shouldn't have been the one running after her. It should've been Weiss. The dialogue would've been more interesting. Plus they haven't had their moment together since Beacon Academy. What a missed opportunity from Roosterteeth.
Hopefully, this season gives the entire team more chances to support Ruby. She definitely needs it

I'm not a drinker but when Weiss's mother came in saying " Believe it or not I am above drinking in the dark." I related to it a little too much.😂
Edit; Am I the only one that loves Penny's character designs?
I'd tell Yang to watch her mouth when she started questioning Ruby's leadership. She should apologize for that

As much as I didn't like Ironwood's character change in volume 8, that one line is the most fantastic part and makes it kinda worth it. Kinda, but still.
