    I believe it's Mercy, I came in last week Wednesday, and they just asked me two questions: why are you in Canada, which I told them I was on vacation, and how long are you staying, which I told them two weeks. Be polite, look them in the eyes, they are humans like us. There is nothing to be concerned about. I didn't travel to Canada with food; instead, I brought a few clothing, my laptop, and other necessities for the two weeks. They are more intent on sending visitors back, so be careful out there and good luck.

      I agree on the mercy part but you also had wisdom to bring only the necessary things.

      You’re right! Get the right information, access yourself and ask if you have anything on you that could lead to deportation 🤣🤣
      Trust me you don’t want to go through that stressful journey and end up being deported! I couldn’t sleep days before my flight date, I was nervous, stressed, exhausted but I’m settling now.. it’s not easy trust me!

    Mini, your video on this topic on Canada entry is great but I want you to understand that it's because we're from Africa that we were been treated like that. I live in the Dominican Republic and I used to work in puntacana airport and also in a massive luxurious resorts here in the Dominican Republic. I have seen so many tourist who are on vacation and at the same time working remotely and it's not a big deal. I have seen how this white folks gets privileges that can never be given to us Africans. The pandemic was an eye opener for me. I started my own business and in 3 years, I am happier than before because I make more money and hire people to work for me. Now, I fly to San Francisco to Toronto on short pants and sneakers on a Nigerian passport and no immigration officers question me for reasons best known to them. Next week, I will be in Beijing taking off from Santo Domingo with no qualms. I think that the way we dress when traveling matters a lot. 😊

    • @Thechochochopodcast
      @Thechochochopodcast  ปีที่แล้ว +17

      We are aware that we are Africans but they treat us that way because our leaders treat us worse. If our home is good, we won’t want to lie about visiting canada when you are planning not to return. Instead of blaming white people, I blame the Nigerian government that failed her citizens. No Nigerian should be relocating if the very basic was provided. This is not oyibo fault, they question us because they have alot of reasons to.

      I’m skeptical about coming to the Dominican Republic to study because of the language, no jobs and the possibilities of moving from the DR to a country like America or Canada. What would you advice me.

      What you expect Canada is part of the French crooks - - it's because of the climate between Africa and France, they going to give Africans a hard time.

      👍👍👍. I see your comment sensible. Truly i have never see immigrant officer deport Immigrant like PR. In my present a visitor and a student was deported. Simple question they ask. Why are you not with your return ticket as visitor? The guy lost it. He couldnt know what to say. Awhole grownups man. Seriously i shake my head. Village people followed him. A student was ask what is the name of your school and who is your supervisor in school that assisted you in your adminission process. The lady was hamm hamm hamm. I was like haàa kilosee. For real they deported people back. Not even in canada in Egpty airport I mean in cairo some Nigeria was deported. Only PR have a smooth process cos the welcoming is like they are throughly expecting them.

      The question is about your legal parents, that is the people that are officially your parents. This may be different from your biological parents (that is, those that gave birth to you) if you are adopted. Adoption documents will usually show details of the legal/official parents.

    I always enjoy watching your videos. If I come on a visitor visa, then I get a job and change my visa to a work permit, can my spouse and kids later join me in Canada? Secondly, please can you do a video of how to apply for a visitor's visa. E.g, how much is needed for POF, how long should the money be in the bank account? Step by step on the things to do. Thanks Mimi.
