Another country where life and labor are cheap. Until I see this sort of activity, I don't remember how very good I had it when I worked in wonderful conditions.
I worked for a construction company who had the same mindset: work hard, not easy and not cheap. I used to say: There's a right way to do things, a wrong way to do things, and our way of doing things which is the most expensive possible. I say "why don't we do it this way and save a WHOLE lot of time and money"? shut up and get back to work. In the first segment with the guys splitting the "beans"....instead of throwing them on the ground behind them, they could a) throw them in the basket, b) throw them into the back of the truck thereby eliminating one step in the process.
@@rhondaclark716 I worked construction for years and have 2 bum knees, a bad hip and a herniated disc in my back. I can barely climb stairs now. I paid into WCIB for years and because I wasn't "injured", just worn out, I get zip.
Hey! What a great vacation idea! Plan a trip to India or Pakistan or where ever this goes on and get a job there, for like a week. Get paid whatever and have that experience. I'd do it.
WOW very hard work to extract rope material most of work done by hand not protected with mask 😷 which is very important breathing all the dust notice workers coughing rope very strong natural 👍
but no body has covered face by mask or any cotton cloth. at least it is basic requirement... safety first. the owner or manager have to take care of hard working labour.
What was considered many generations ago as a waste product has been considered the norm for gardening twine in the UK, for as long as I can remember. The new product that I have seen more recently has been the dust, which is often sold as an alternative to peat / compost.
If you are going to create a documentary video, how about some narration or at least put something in the notes. What is coir? Jute? Are those coconuts? Where was this filmed?
Remember this video the next time you complain about having to pay $23.00 for a 10lb block of coir on Amazon. The sad part is that probably only about 1% of that money ends up in these guys hard working hands.
Wow! I wonder how many are employed and the amount of value added at each step. I want to start industry where I live but the equipment is so expensive and the population is small.
Workers working w/o any protection to face mask. One of them is coughing. Owner of the factory should note of it. Also factory Inspector of Govt. Is also keeping Mum.
Informative for children, coconut Husk to rope wonderful. The comments below about wearing mask going to hell now bcz covid19, why don't provide food to Hunger?
What about birth control in India? China has one child rule per family and China prefer boys for that reason. Does India have a one child rule like China? Every time I see the India people, I see over crowding. It seem to me India should have some type of birth control order.
Coir board should study latest developments in coir fibre and coir fibre products manufacturing technologies and usage of fine particles of dust in agriculture. The board officials should visit the major producing areas and educate the industrialists and workers about safety aspects also. This sector can contribute a large extent to agro based economy.
0:42 it's not safe at all. Just imagine if he fails to hold the coconut properly once and the game is over. People should come up with a different method to husk the coconut.
WOW! Never realised what efforts and machinery and pure hard work went into making the lowly coir rope!!! This video is an eye opener! Well done.
Our pleasure!
It's hard work to open these coconuts in half!! It must be a machine to do this work. My respects to these gentlemen.

This is great what was considered a waste product provided plenty of jobs for people. 👉

This is like film about 1000 years ago workers and slaves condition.. but yet its true and real in India and some other part of the world.
There were no slavery until Burglar Mughal came to Bharat
Its a good product, made of natural fibre BUT that factory safety standard is very low. My heart goes down for the workers.
If you are going to create a documentary video, how about some narration or at least put something in the notes.

He is absolutely right, we r interested to know, which place and such other information.
Wow amazing 😍😍😱😱
If this was in America human hand would require very less but in Indian machinery human hands required more than the machine

Yeah, you can see the fibers and dust in the air, and hear the men coughing and hacking. Miserable conditions.
Kya ye India ki company hai
Only after viewing this process can you begin to appreciate the modern technology that makes a better product faster and with better quality.
What a perilous job!

Wow those bungee sticks sure look safe.
Makes a natural fibre bale and ties it with plastic string.
I used to run a small baler like that when I was younger. That has to be a hot and scratchy job, and irritating to their lungs.
Very interesting to see the process husk to rope! I was surprised to not see even one dust mask even thought here was lots of coughing and hacking!
It intimately shows each step of the process EXCEPT how the fiber is removed from the shell.
It is from 0:42 to 1:11. It is a completely manual process.
iNTERESTING VIDEO..MORE SUCH COIR FACTORIES ARE NECESSARY TO PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT IN INDIA .
