- Hello everyone and welcome back to this new video. Today we are in the countryside around the San Donà area for the beet harvest by the Prataviera Team and their Holmer T4-40.
Equipped with six steering wheels and a 15.6-litre in-line six-cylinder Mercedes Benz Tier 4 engine, the machine is capable of developing 617 horsepower. It is equipped with a 1150 liter diesel tank plus an additional 95 liter tank reserved for Adblue.
It is equipped with six cameras which, through the screens in the cabin, allow a 360 degree view around the vehicle. The maximum road speed is 40 km\h.
Sugar beet, scientifically known as Beta vulgaris, is a plant of the Chenopodiaceae family, widely cultivated for the production of sugar. This root vegetable has a fleshy root, usually deep red or white, and is appreciated not only for its natural sweetness, but also for its many applications in the kitchen and in the industrial sector. It is an important source of sucrose, which is extracted and refined to produce sugar. Sugar beet cultivation is widespread in many regions of the world, with temperate climates favoring the optimal growth of this crop.
Thanks to its versatility it is used not only as a source of sugar, but also in numerous culinary recipes. The young leaves are edible and rich in nutrients, while the root can be eaten raw, cooked or made into various products such as juices, sauces and salads. It is also known for its health benefits, thanks to the content of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Its presence in the diet can help improve digestion, support the immune system and provide a natural source of energy.
