    ✿ how to make the flower bigger ✿
    I thought I would try to clarify this in a pinned comment since I see some people asking about it! Crochet is so forgiving of mistakes and experimentation, so feel free to play around with increases and yarn and whatever way you like :)) Currently, there are two ways that I can think of to make this purse bigger to fit more things:
    1. Do another few rounds of increases for the circle after the 30 dc. You can do so by following the pattern of dc, inc to get 36 dc in total (make sure the stitches are divisible by 5 which can be done by increasing until you have 60 stitches). If you want it to be bigger, you can follow "The Magic Increase Formula" on this website: sarahmaker.com/crochet-flat-circle/ Then adjust the stitches of the petals so that you still end up with five petals. To do this, divide that number of stitches you made by 5 (ex: 60/5 = 12), so (12) would be the amount of stitches each petal takes up. For example, if I increased to 60 st, I would make each petal sit on 12 st, turning that pattern into slst, sc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 2 dc, 2 tr, 2 tr, 2 dc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc (see how there are now 12 stitches compared to 6 in the video?) This is up to you how you want to organize it, but keep the basics of the petal pattern in the video to create that rounded petal shape :) Work on the next part of the petal pattern according to your new stitches and do more rounds of it, if necessary. You can also switch the sc in the very last part of the petals with dc or hdc.
    💐 You can definitely do more than 5 petals if you would like. Based on the formula of increasing a circle, it's easiest to make 6 petals, as the stitches created from that formula is always divisible by 6 :)
    2. You can use thicker yarn and a larger hook and increase the stitch height: so sc becomes hdc, hdc becomes dc, dc becomes trc, and so on.
    I hope this helps, and feel free to ask any questions for clarifications! Thank you again fro making this pattern and watching my videos 💗

    thank you so much for the video! I think for the second row for the petals, it should be 1sc, 1hdc, 2dc in next 4st, 1hdc, 1sc, 1 sl st!

      Hello! There are a couple of ways to make it bigger, so choose whichever one you feel most comfortable with:
      1. Do another few rounds of increases for the circle after the 30 dc. You can do so by following the pattern of dc, inc to get 36 dc in total (make sure the stitches are divisible by 5 which can be done by increasing until you have 60 stitches). To do this, divide that number of stitches you made by 5 (ex: 60/5 = 12), so (12) would be the amount of stitches each petal takes up. For example, if I increased to 60 st, I would make each petal sit on 12 st, turning that pattern into slst, sc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 2 dc, 2 tr, 2 tr, 2 dc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc (see how there are now 12 stitches compared to 6 in the video?) This is up to you how you want to organize it, but keep the basics of the petal pattern in the video to create that rounded petal shape :) You can also switch the sc in the very last part of the petals with dc or hdc to make it bigger.
      2. You can use thicker yarn and a larger hook and increase the stitch height: so sc becomes hdc, hdc becomes dc, dc becomes trc, and so on.

    Hello!I don't know why, but when I crochet a magic circle, dc 15, as it says in the video, it turns out much smaller than in your video. yarn is not thin, even thicker than yours, but it still smaller than yours

      what should i do for bigger magic circle?

    • @vickeikei
      @vickeikei  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! After my 15 dc, the diameter of the circle measures to about 6mm or 2.5 in! It could be that the gauge is different since we’re different crocheters, if you are crocheting really tightly, I would recommend to try crocheting a bit loosely (wrap the yarn a bit loosely around your fingers and not pulling really tightly after each stitch)! 😊
