@AskMommaChannel - All ages can contribute to conversations using a hashtag. No one is required to participate, it's just another option. I talk to people of all ages on Instagram and Twitter using hashtags.
ok well im obviously a technology dinosaur. that's what my 15 yr old daughter thinks anyway lol im still not sure about what the hashtag actually does but im working on it. im guessing if u put a hashtag in front of a word or phrase it takes you to a sight or chat rooms where everybody is discussing that subject. is that right? help an old man out with the correct definition if im wrong. thanks!!!
Still scratching our heads...Not a good explanation, and a worse concept for a generation of people who would be best served with up close and personal relationships. And why would Seniors care what some 20 something person who has virtually no life experiences is saying?
... seriously ? hashtags were used first in computer science to guide pointers in memory selection.. get your facts right ... So in general a hashtag just mean a shortcut to a topic, period. And that's why they are links.
what a waste of time. just search it up in the net and understand it. u dun need it to live ur life. it was good back then without digital photos n FB, it shud be good for us as well in this age. ppl are generally wasting their time these days, not to mention they tend to create their own hashtags when mostly other users don't really care abt.Take this talk on hashtag for example, its also a waste of time. u r educate others abt hashtags while we often hear radio msgs saying we shouldn't turn outselves into anti socials by burying our noses in social medias only.
