Visited Sleaford station briefly the other day whilst helping out on a steam engine that came to Skegness then low & behold we see the cricket team! Looks as though the had a decent attack in all fairness so a disappointing way to get out. Thanks for the videos this year & looking forward to seeing them next season, winter well!

Bro I watch ur videos every time I play I’m 15 playing Middlesex colts and I also play for a adult team but I get stuck in the late teens when batting after your channel I have found out how batting is all in the mind and I got 34 not out it’s not much but I’m very happy

Used to play against Sleaford many years ago when they were in the Newark Alliance Sunday League. Always a lot better than us, but a quality club and great set up. I always refused to run four to their longest boundary, even though you could probably run 5! Looked like they had a couple of decent seamers, but they bowled a bit full. Also looked as though they’ve watched your videos as they didn’t give you much off the pads! Good vid chap.
One aspect of batting that I hear very few coaches emphasizing is the ability to place the ball between fielders. I've always found it a little unusual that youngsters are taught to "play in the V" towards mid off and mid on, or drive towards cover, cut towards point etc, when good batsmen hit the ball past these positions rather than at them. Not easy to do I know, but it's a very subtle skill that, when used well, can easily increase runs and keep the fielding captain guessing.
Awesome match. I'm new to the channel and I must admit your a good cricket player. Your intent from ball one was to absorb the pressure and counter attack. I really liked how you took on the tall fast bowler. He kept tight straight good lengths and you played accordingly. Going after spin bowlers was a good move and I like how you phased out your innings.
Great work mate, just watch those tight singles early on when you're getting tied up and you just want a run. Pretty dicey and can end up barbecuing your team mate! Love watching this, great work

It's extremely interesting to see, how the game is played in different countries. Overhere, in matches such as these (often as a grudge match between localities), the atmosphere is far more volatile.😅 A fantastic innings as well mate

I am a terrible bowler so can't give you much advice there! Batting advice: 1. Be positive! If the ball is there to hit, go for your shot! 2. Play every ball on its merit. Try not think of the shot you want to play before the bowlers bowled the ball. 3. Practice!!! The more balls you face in the nets the easier it will be in the middle.

Best advice is to use the pace the ball already has when facing quick stuff. Dont try over hit the ball, just time it 👌
