Hi there.... I am writing this from the southern most part of India, Kerala. I was born in 1989, when this show aired on DD I was kid, I used love this theme along with "purab se soorya uga...".....those days were the GOLDEN ERA of DOORDARSHAN.... and with out any doubt I can say....kids of 90s had the best childhood....and it was because we had a Beautiful channel which was true " INFO-TAINMENT"

Felt tears from my eyes...Those beautiful days in life...where there was no crappy channels and Doordarshan was the only genuine infotainment.Wishing to go back to that era where mobile technology didnt grab our childhood.
I actually had tears in my eyes as the song progressed :( This is soo damn nostalgic. I wanna go back to my childhood days where my whole family used to watch this together. I really miss it. I could visualize those moments in my head. Ah bliss !

Contd- Tehkeekaat, Gaint Robot, Waghle ki Duniyan, Hum panchi ek daal ke, Detective Karamchand, Mr.Yogi, Aashish, One serial in particular, I cannot recollect its name (The guy has a remote control which helps him teleport to any place!!), Mahabharath etc. I can go on an on..the list never ends :) Those days once burnt into our memory, can never be forgotten. Mr Ujwal, thanx for the post, it was really a awesome show. Siddharth Kak & Renuka Sahane were such wonderfull hosts. I still remember Renuka Ji's beaming smile in the show.
just loved it.....wasnt much mature at the time show use to be lived (i was born in 86) but still few and fading memories of surabhi are preserved in my mind,,,in my heart. Its the baap of all discovery and tlc programmes .
My favourtie program in 90s era.. :)) ..I was 7 yr old but still remember how my entire family used to watch this program :)) ... It was informative .. Doordarshan had soo many good programs in those days too.. Like Byomkesh Bakshi.. Surabhi ..Miss old days ! :(
really one of the best show of dd national ..... lots of New things to learn form the show which covered all types of subjects and expressed them in a very systematic manner ..... hats off. .. thanks for giving us the old time back by launching all episodes

I loved this one so much and was regular for this for many many years... brilliant and informative- Only allowed programs for me was this on weekdays and weekends.. had a larger list...... when restrictions were lifted.. its sad to see very few ( infact almost zero with bits of good ones scattered here and there) exists now.... I really miss those days

felt nostagic hearing ,whole family used to sit on the cotton bed on the floor and watch this .after the show they ask question and answer to be sent through post card .Prizes for the winner , those days were really super cool
I am really lucky i was born in the late 80's.. coz back then times were different... the shows that are aired on tv now a days are not fit to be watched !! We all are lucky guys !
No smartphones, No facebook. Still, I was a happy kid. I used to watch this on our then new Optonica color TV, not on LCD/LED but still enjoyed it. I am ready to sacrifice all the luxuries I have right now. Just take me back to those days.
