I think you would have liked House of Wolves when it came out back in D1. It was short, but that expansion is why the Eliksni became my favorite race in Destiny.

The others like the Hive and Fallen are just out for survival, they want to solidify their own place in the system. Meanwhile guardians (whether provoked or not) just go and steamroll through tens of thousands of the other races as if it's target practice. What if the Vanguard is the true villain?
Osiris said in destiny 2 season of the wish that since the witness entered the portal in the traveler, it doesn't know about the guardians actions. Maybe it can't do anything other than cause the final shape.
@@robertblandry I believe The Witness knew that Traveler would survive Warmind attack, maybe just barely. Or he knew that we'd stop the attack. And either way, Guardians would be too occupied with Eramis and her crew, giving more time and an element of surprise to The Witness

Now that it’s got what I wanted and is enacting the first half of its plan likely it doesn’t care about who betrays it as it’s already so close to the end. I see alot of these characters returning for a bigger roll in the final shape.
I don't believe we (The Vanguard) knew what exactly The Witness wanted to do with the Traveler, which allowed It to use Eramis as a both a distraction and a means to thin our defenses, for it is because of Eramis that we were not able to use the Warmind against our REAL threat. It was a Zugzwang (chess predicament where any legal move worsens the players situation) scenario where we didn't know enough about the motives of the Witness to call It's bluff.

Your channel is my favorite destiny channel and you do a really good job at it. I started playing destiny this year and i wanted to know the lore and I found your video of all the lore to light fall and it was really good. I request an updated video of all of the lore to the final shape. And thank you for the destiny lore
This could be a nice 1 mission and cutscene to wrap up Eramis story before final shape, she does seem to different and we could work something out with her. The episodes don’t really show Eramis mainly vex/scorn(fikrul)/hive so getting something quick before FS would be nice
Assuming Destiny 2 doesn't tank itself in the coming year or two well definitely see her again at some point. If D2 is taking the FFXIV approach and continuing to produce content as long as people play it then they'll send us Riis-ward sooner or later.
I think the next time we see her it would likely be with Saint and Mithraks, if Riis needs to be cleared from the Hive or Taken he is the most qualified given his century of conquest against the Fallen; Mithraks because if there were any scattered Fallen he and Eramis are the two best choices for reunification of Eliksni Eido might come along with the three, or stay behind for her own good

After the final shape has be concluded this gives Bungie the opportunity to expand the destiny universe outside of sol. We can finally explore more of earth outside of old Russia. Places like New York and Chicago where in the lore it says that something evil is taken up residence. Plus traveling outside the solar system would pave way for awesome campaigns with our alien friends.

The studio's fired what, half their staff? And you expect that won't harm the quality (and hope of quality) in their future products?
Eramis is honestly my favorate villain in Destiny, she might not have the presence of Savathûn, but her complexity is so interesting and I'm exited whenever she shows up. Her going back to be with Athrys is a good way to end her story, but I hope she gets a sendoff in game, she's been too interesting to not, and if this lore entry was truly all Plunder, Seraph and Defiance was leading to, It'll be quite dissapointing. I was honestly hoping the dungeon this season would be focused on her and possibly Riis reborn, which is why I was dissapointed even though the dungeon was very good. I hope BUNGIE at least makes Beyond light replayable, because otherwise the only repeatable content with her in it is the radio messages from spire of the watcher and that's underwhelming.

Because the action forced Rasputin to sacrifice himself, getting the warsats out of their control so the Witness can move in easier. At least, that’s what I thought.
but Eramis… and by extension the Witness… had control of the warsats. Rasputin’s sacrifice was our last effort to stop Eramis; if he could control the warsats himself, the whole scene wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Bungie is doing the Dragonball thing, where you turn enemies into alliances or friends. With no real deaths or stakes, everyone just comes back and turns good?
I'm going to be very blunt and just say I find her kinda of annoying and just weak. I never felt that she was all threatening to begin with. Sure she can freeze things and stuff but so can we just way better.
I just love the trend of former enemies becoming allies. Showing these aren't mindless monsters, but beings with troubled pasts and misguided intentions

I've always pitied the Eliksni and felt they didn't deserve to be killed as much as we do. Even Eramis deserves leeway in my eyes.

eramis is definetly one of my favorite characters and seeing her lore being expanded form time to time makes me extremely happy
I wish we’d had an in game cutscene for this because a lot of people will miss this and be left wandering what happened to her character
My question is how and why would the Witness even ALLOW her to stop serving him?

She's finally seen the light of her actions and now just wants peace after being blinded by revenge.
Or she's just seen the evil of the Witness and decided the Traveler was right to do what it did the whole time.

I always wondered why splicers can have 8 eyes, Eliksni can regenerate their arms, or even make news ones, while Eramis can't fix 2 of her eyes.
Sometimes, a person, or in this case Eliksni, just doesn't want to, as a reminder of the past.

I think it was a huge miss that they put this info in a lord tab instead of giving us an update on her in a cutscene or radio message.
Maybe she is chilling with Dead Orbit. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up at Riis and called it a day.
