Don't compare Alfa Giulia vs Panamera ! it's really not even the same type of car segment LOL ! Plus, Giulia is 500kg lighter doe. it's like comparing a Panamera vs a 911, not the same type of car at all guys.
sehr schönes auto! nach der vorstellung muss ich echt sagen: top! und er sieht endlich auch von hinten aus wie ein porsche! tolle zeit für 'ne 5 meter limo ;-)
this is a time like lexus lfa, nissan gtr 2009, lamborghini lp570, ferrari 458, chevrolet corvette c6 zr1, chevrolet camaro z. but its am executive sedan!
Very impressive for a luxury four door machine. Not sure comparisons with Alfa's later record are fair as the Alfa is decidedly NOT a big luxury car. However it is amusing to watch Alfa's record set by a guy wearing tee shirt and jeans as opposed to race suit and roll cage and a fancy seat, LoL!
A car with a roll cage and a racing driver's seat is not actually a standard car, isn't it? That being said, the biggest breakthrough with this model is in the way it looks, meaning you can actually look at it and enjoy it, unlike the former model.
***** I don't want to turn this into an argument, but some might say a roll cage and a racing seat give the driver much more confidence, thus enabling him to do better lap times. Also, the racing seat gives the driver a better feel of what the car is doing, which considerably influence lap times. Apart from that, thousands of people drive very fast, day after day, on that circuit, without any safety issues, in regular cars. Porsche could have done it the same way, if they really wanted to prove something!
Yung Fury 夫 Let's be honest here, everybody expects that car to be the fastest 4door sedan in the world and I'm not talking top speed, but real world conditions, so no big surprise for me that it can do a good performance on the Ring. From my point of view, this lap time battle between car makers, on that circuit, raises a lot of question marks: what kind of tires did they use?, did they modify the suspension?, did they do something to the engine or exaust? have they done something to the brakes? and so on. Without an impartial authority which would verify that the cars are exactly like those in the showroom, I wouldn't give to much attention to these publicity stunts.
IMO Porsche build the worlds Best sports cars, that are available at a reasonable cost. I respected the Panamera 1, though found it's appearance confronting. But this second generation car is so aggressive and really very attractive/well proportioned. I honestly wish I could realistically buy one, but I find sports saloons quiet uncomfortable at my age (injury), and have basically decided to get the Audi Q7 V8 Diesel. Though I will not be able to drive a Q7 until October, or order one until November, I think it is the best car I can realistically purchase..... Though Thomas and Autogefuehl, if you think this could be another fit please advise. I love sporty cars! The 997 911.1 Turbo almost found it's way into my garage, but the dealership advised a test drive, well I got in, went for a brisk drive for about 2 hours...Then tried to get out! If not for the dealerships staff(s) help, I'd still be sitting in that car. Anyway I have watched your Turbo & 4s World Premier review a few times now, is the Panamera Turbo a car I can realistically consider? Thankyou for your assistance. Sincerely, M.
And then came a guy in Jeans, t-shirt, no gloves to avoid hiding his luxury watch and a go-pro attached with tape... and left you 6 seconds to think about it. Oh I forgot, he was driving an Alfa Romeo.
Alfa Giulia: 7:32.
Giulia: The fastest sedan ever!
Alfa is 500kg lighter.
Incredible car

the roll cage and the racing seat do not influence the time, it's for safety
They said that they had to build in a rollcage and racing seat for safety reasons, everything else is stock.

+cristiandemirel1918 That's a valid point you gave me. I did not take that into consideration.
