There's nothing like classic comedy like this to make me laugh really hard out loud. I've told my 22-yr.-old son that he reminds me of Jerry Lewis, and he had no idea who that was (of course) so I showed this to him and my daughter. And I realized that there's very little (if any) humor that you can watch today that's as hilarious, clean and innocent as this stuff was. Those were the days.
What a trio, Burt excellent as usual, his ability to play comic & so convincing, Dean & Jerry speak for themselves one of the greatest duos ever, sadly nothing like it anymore . great times
@4.22 Watch Deans perfect timing as he moves into position with his hands clasped together ready to catch Jerry when he jumps backwards a moment later. Jerry gets the laugh, but you can see here why Dean began to get disenchanted with not getting his due credit for his role in the act.
True Kings of Comedy: Martin & Lewis, Abbott & Costello, Burns & Allen, The Marx Brothers, The Three Stooges, Milton Berle, and so many others. God Bless them for they are now gone into Comedy History.
This is from the Colgate Comedy Hour. The guest IS Burt Lancaster, who is parodying the character he played in the dramatic film, "Come Back, Little Sheba" (1952). Sorry if somebody already pointed this out -- I can't load all the comments.
Watching this sketch again, I noticed for the first time how Burt almost breaks up @8.36, just after he throws the water in Jerry’s face. It must have been hard for a regular straight actor to keep up with these two and their constant ad libs and going off-script!
***** I read somewhere that in the first year(or couple of months- I think) they didn't have enough money to stay each one in a hotel room so they stayed in the same room.( sorry if I made mistakes)
This is hilarious!! I wish there was more comedy like this today. Nothing inappropriate. Just 100% funny.

I'm crying...from laughing! So hilarious! Bring back this kind of comedy.
"Step on the body, break the legs, step on Lola Lola!" Lol!
i love how Dean had no idea what Jerry said at 4:45 then cracks up cuz he finished it...they were awesome!!
Hilarious! One of the best skits from that show. Every generation should be exposed to the genius of Martin and Lewis. Such a fantastic team.
That dude was totally messing with them the entire time...that makes the whole sketch even funnier!
"I THOUGHT SHE WAS LEAVING!" lol
If you love Jerry and Dean you should seriously pick up his book "Dean and Me" it's a great read!
❤️ LOVE

Jerry once said that Dean had one of the best natural comedian timing he ever seen.
