When I was 12, a side-flash of lightning hit the cottage where my family was vacationing. The electricity jumped through the roof in the electric wiring, & resulted in very loud fireballs erupting inside the cottage. After that, I was terrified of storms. When I was ~39 I decided I was tired of being scared, so, during a big storm, I went out on the porch where I lived, & stood in the rain yelling at the thunder & lightning. I've since learned that this is called aversion therapy. It worked very well for me. Now I enjoy watching, & hearing storms. That's why I enjoyed your video so much. Thank you for making it.

Perfect non work nights, the sound of heavy rain on the roof and the windows, thunder and lightning. Of course one cannot expect it to happen every night, especially in winter when thunderstorms rarely happen. I especially enjoy this around midnight.

Idk if anyone remembers the movie "Reality Bites" but in the movie Wynona was interviewing her friend and he was listing what makes hom happy and one of them was "5 minutes before a storm" And I was like YAASSS, great mind😉☔☔⛈🌩

Since the rain started til 9:28 my cheap city street would have already been flooded.. good thing our house is three feet above the street.. it rarely gets as deep as the sidewalk.

This kind of neighborhood might have a Homeowners Association that has rules governing things like yard maintenance standards, allowed paint colors, etc. If one breaks the rules, many states permit these organizations to levy fines against the property. Where I'm from, these fines can accumulate until the owner loses their property. And the associations tend to be run by people with vicious intensity who love to extract vengeance in any neighborhood feud.

it's so interesting to see homes in nice neighbourhoods with fences in america, compared to images from LA for examples. I wonder how residents feel about no fences?
We don't really think about it. There are more yards here without fences than with fences. I can't even remember the last time I saw a house with a fenced yard.
It's a movie back in 1982.. i understood what he was saying how the neighbor hood looked and how the houses are.. you got to watch the move. I was a kid when I watched it and I'm grown that movie stick with u.. they made a remake I think in 2015 but don't beat the 1982 one.
In summer season when the conditions are very hot humid and sunny for weeks together where you see temperatures more than 30- 35degree centigrades with high humidity on every day with 12-13hrs of sunshine daily then there will be a heavy rain due to heat wave with lightning and thunderstorms sometimes hail and dust storm also can be seen due to heat wave these rains usually occurs in summer season and are different from the rains which you see in rainy season
Wondering why folks don't put their cars in the garage. I did before a storm here and 20 minutes later a 12" diameter tree branch fell across the driveway. Not to mention the hail damage you can subject the car to.

Why do the clouds get whiter when it rains 🤔
The moisture in them finally releases when it pours. All the water gets pent up in those dark clouds and pours down as rain :)
I notice that gutter that you have on the left side of your garage you need a turn it because the water is wetting the wood.
