Metal For Breakfast ! Cool.. Y&T Priest, nice ! I never see Jerry Jeff's Mr. Bojangles around. I would definitely pick up a copy .. when I run across one ! Your best score.. NM Alice and Maiden, and Guns N Roses ! Congrats on those, Mike 🙂
@@jtsrecordroom3963 I didn't even look in the box until I got home so it was all a fun surprise, but the contents were very interesting for sure. It makes you really wonder what the story was behind that collection when it ranged from Andy Williams to Iron Maiden.
All three of those were a nice surprise. There were only two that I knew about from the seller's picture...G 'n' R and Streetheart, so I figured it would be a good buy. I didn't look in the box until I got home and seeing Iron Maiden stuck in between Paul Anka and Roger Whittaker was a very nice surprise.
Hi Mike, You did great! The Guns N' Roses album alone is worth noting. It's interesting how those rock titles were mixed in with the albums. I love seeing Jack run a contest like this. I'll definitely be submitting my video. I love compilations, so this is right up my alley. I've never seen the “big surf sound” comp. That's very cool.
@@mad4vinyl802 That was the first I have seen that surf comp too. I'm not much of a fan of KTel records but I had to keep that one. I'm pretty sure that box had records from more than one collector.
Every time I see one of those ads for a box of records with notes like "no picking" or "must take them all" or with a photo of only one record, I balk. Metal for Breakfast. I prefer baacon and eggs 😂 That's not a bad comp. I saw Toronto in concert years and years ago. Streetheart played my high school. Wow, Maiden and GnR! This turned out to be a score.
@@EmbryonicRobot Quite an odd mix of records for sure. I usually don't take risks like that unless there is a great title but I figured $25 wasn't bad and seeing G n R in the picture was worth that risk. I did know there was a Streetheart record there too as it was also in the pic but everything else was a surprise.
Thanks for the entry Mike, you’re the first to put one out. Your name goes in the hat. That’s a nice Croce box, I’m sure you’ll find someone who’s interested. Nice metal comp. You certainly came out ahead for a $25 box of records. Cheers.
@@vinylmartini3377 I'm usually a bit wary when it comes to buying a box of records but the seller showed it was worth my time and money even if it was just for one record. I really enjoy your channel Jack, so I'm happy to do an entry. I think there will be many more do a response but it's a busy time of year so it might take some time to post. I think it's a great idea for a contest...and easy and fun too.
Some interesting compilations with the nice surf one. That's a nice Jerry Jeff Walker record. I have not seen that Chet Atkins record before either. I don't think that I know most of the Canadian bands you showed. The last four albums are pretty well known, so great buy.
@@RandyforRoyals I have been hitting a dry spell with metal lately and I didn't own any of those, so it was worth the $25 easily. It was just sort of surreal since I didn't even look at what was in the box until I got home. I wanted to be surprised and I was when I saw Iron Maiden sitting in between Roger Whittaker and Lawrence Welk. Weird but fun.

Had to be 2 collections, father and son, I would guess. Enjoy those, Mike !
@@jtsrecordroom3963 Yeah that makes the most sense.
Nicely done as always, Mike. I’d say that the last three records you showed are (more than) worth the $25 spent! Well done!

Great "blind" deal! I've done that also in the past... Who the heck is Will Carter? That's the only name I did not recognize.
It's actually Wilf Carter. I think he's only known in Canada, but you could lump him in with Box Car Willie or Roger Whittaker.

Nice job finding all those r3cords and then doing a contest entry, call that a Twofer Mike
Two for the price of one....now that's a great deal on vinyl if only we could convince those crazy record labels to do the same thing
