Paul is simply the G.O.A.T. After the masterpiece that was For an Angel, he stayed true to the genre, has never stopped dominating, and is the nicest dude! And did I mention the live sets 😱👑
He strayed off into electro house and techno pretty hard back when he was number one. It was those hard trance with 150+ bmp electro house tracks and dirty electronic techno sets mixed in with melodic trance breakdowns that made his best years by far 2005-2009. He then went a little to techy and got a little too creative with Ableton before going back to strictly hard melodic trance, which is cool but he was way better when he drop bass loaded sets that would blow people away, he even turned Chicago Vision night club into a mosh pit it was so hard while twisting the High’s at frequencies that literally hurt your ears! Miss those sets

WHAT an incredible set. i understand Music is always evolving but even with new music PVD continues to be my favorite Trance DJ/producer and the reason tomorrow is the greatest day of my life.
Well I mean he's evolved a lot over time too. It's not like he's just stayed in the past. Honestly you've been seeing it recently even with armin. I think the darker technoey style is starting to seep into the other genres which is pretty interesting. Parts of this set were quite techy which I think made it so good.
I was lucky enough to see PVD live in February 2020 right before the Covid pandemic hit. Set was great. PVD is a legend, the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time). I've been listening since the mid-late 90's he's still the best. Thanks Paul!
