Hi Elaine I sowed corn yesterday, variety swift, it had better be quick 😂. Bury the stem of the pumpkin and it'll root higher up.👌 Red strawberries already, I'm checking mine tomorrow. Looking great Elaine. Especially the azalea 👌🙏😁👍❤️🌸

I don’t grow corn 🌽 anymore it got attacked by squirrels 🐿️ who then dropped it on the ground and attracted rats 🐀. Plus we live in the corn belt and it is fresh off the stalk and cheap as chips. Too bad about the onions 😢 my shallots are bolting. Bloody weather and pests are creating havoc this year. Lost almost all my parsnips to slugs. I think most root crops like crappy soil and less pampering or they just grow loads of leaf. Lots coming up and looking fab. Have a super weekend Elaine hope the sun is shining 👍, Ali 🥰🇨🇦

Hi Ali. Well that's handy having corn grown by someone else. I think farmers here grow corn for pigs. You can boil them until kingdom come, and they will not go soft, lol, so it's grow or buy your own. Yes it's a fickle year. One probably not the same as the next, but we've got to deal with each year as best we can. Squirrels then rats sheesh. As far as the onions go, if they polish up I will give thanks for small mercies, lol. Have a lovely weekend 🌱🐌🌸🐝😘🧅
