omg yes. i've even seen those pre-sliced ham or cheese packages with "gluten free" on them, and i'm just like "yeah, it should be". it's like make an ad for a car and slap "bee free" on it as if cars normally come with bees
I generally laugh, too, but to be fair, oats don’t naturally contain gluten, but are frequently processed in plants that also process grains that contain gluten, so they could/should be gluten-free, but aren’t.
Gluten free on gluten free foods is actually there for people with coeliac disease who are incredibly sensitive, so any food prepared in a kitchen that handles gluten can have cross contamination and make them sick. It seems silly until you know why it is there!
Yeah the veggies are funny. I do appreciate it on other stuff tho for when I'm grocery shopping and want to try something new. Some things you think would be GF aren't, like soy sauce, twizzlers, and nacho cheese fries at taco bell (the nacho cheese has gluten too)

Bokksu is the only subscription box I have ever signed up for. I absolutely loved it. This was years and years ago but at some point I lost my job and couldn't afford it anymore. And then life moved on. But I have the best memories of opening the box and reading the awesome booklet and trying all the fun snacks!
Bokksu is full of snacks that come from shops with deep roots in Japan as opposed to being full of those cheap snacks and candies like Kit Kats, Ramune sodas, and like the Japanese equivalent of penny candies that you can just pick up pretty much anywhere. I'm sure the price in comparison to the prices of the goods actually balance better than most ' Authentic Japanese ' snack boxes full of cheap snacks.
Sakurako also does good traditional snacks and they are a bit cheaper. In their box you also get tea and a piece of tableware. In my first box I got a pretty black blate with pink sakura flowers on it. Probably reflecting the price I do feel comparatively the Sakurako box has fewer items but the quality of the items seems roughly the same based on what it looks like.
I love when something tastes bad and then we ask someone else to try it - so we aren’t the only ones who just went through it!!! 🤣😂🤣 And now I NEED that cactus in my life!!! It’s adorable!!! 💜🌵💜
I Love Bokksu! When my husband and I were getting it we would go through and see what we had doubles of, and which ones we had to share. 😁 Also, Japanese snacks often run more savory, and their sweet is more subtle from my experience. And we've kept all the booklets, they are amazing.

The chaos of this video and the multitasking was exactly what my chaotic brain needed. I think sitting and watching you eat popcorn for five minutes straight would have been a snooze. If I remember right, first time you order Bokksu you will get box called Seasons of Japan, and it will contain treats from every season and the company is partnered with factories that are over 100 years old, so you know you get really good quality treats :)

I don’t usually comment that much, but I just wanted to quickly jump on the cactus thing - you’re absolutely right about this music mode, as for some reason the creator of this “toy” decided to use a polish song that basically starts with “there’s only one thing in my head, 5 grams of coke” that’s also considered here as a rather silly song you laugh at - so whenever us from Poland see anyone foreign using it, it gives us a great laugh and joy, especially while explaining what it says 😊 Love your videos, huge fan of you and Chris! ❤️
The popcorn packaging looks basically like the No Name brand (black sans-serif text on a pure yellow background), which is one of the cheapest food brands in Canada.
We have a silicone microwave popcorn popper and love it. Just add plain kernels, then once it's popped we use the Kernel Seasonings powders on it to add flavors. My favorite is the white cheddar.

I've been wanting to try bokksu, glad you liked it. I went to Japan just as the cherry blossoms 🌸 were ending - loved the flavour (I had cherry blossom icecream). They really get the flavours- like peach tastes like a real peach
I do the Athletic Greens subscription. I will say , sometimes when I’m super busy and forget to eat, I do feel “healthy “ when I make myself a quick juice with the powder and add some veggies to it. Adding fruits helps the flavour too, but I mean yah it’s not as delicious as I’d like it to be.
The ad that came up first in this video was for Tim Horton's ice cream. They have several flavours. Would you consider doing a taste test? It might be too Canadian specific though. I always enjoy your videos!
There are Sriarcha seasonings that my husband loves specifically for popcorn. We have bought 2 different brands and he enjoyed both. The one he liked the best was from Home Goods, of course, so we will never be able to find the same one again. lol!! But look into that for your popcorn needs ;)
You should take the rest of the Athletic Greens for the month and give us an update! I personally love Athletic Greens. I have noticed I can't go without it otherwise I don't feel 100% myself.
There is a dry seasoning of Sriracha that you could use for your popcorn. I make homemade caramel corn quite often it is so delicious, i have tried the opopop and personally didnt care for it all that much
I bought the popcorn from an Instagram ad!! I really like the vanilla cake pop and cinnalicious flavors. I was going to try the Maui heat but it seems like I can give it a pass.
Love the popcorn idea. Especially the individual servings. Everyone who has done microwaved popcorn always has that bag they don’t finish and put the bag on the counter to “eat later” and it just goes stale on your counter
I drink Athletic Greens and I felt like it tastes like the old school Flintstones vitamins. It definitely helped me feel more energetic throughout the day with no crash. I felt like my gut was better too so I would say it’s worth it. It does give me flashbacks though so I mix it with a splash of fruit smoothies like Naked juice or something which makes it a lot easier to drink!

I bought the opopop pop corn over a year ago. My absolute favorite is the salted umami. I've also tried the snacks from around the world. It's a monthly subscription where they send you snacks curated from a country. I've also tried the Umai Crate which is a monthly ramen subscription from asia.

The cactus reminds me of the MimicMe thing. My stepbrother had one. We hid it for a little while and he never noticed so he definitely only played with it when he noticed it and was bored. He never actively looked for it so I do not feel bad. It was so annoying.
Never tried Mochi! 😱 You should try and make some in the microwave 💡 I love it so much that I add glutenous rice flour in my oats which gives such a nice texture to it, you do need to microwave it.

Athletic Greens...or just eat food and take a multivitamin or specific vitamins and minerals if you have gaps in your nutrition or deficiencies
