Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing... The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details. Most everyone agrees this is one of Dimash's greatest performances.. with a song that rocks Transylvania to its very core with a flare of contemporary Dimash to digest.. and a taste of vocals to die for! Yes.. everyone focuses on his singing.. the notes.. the technique.. the visuals.. yea! They're great! BUT IS THERE A MESSAGE?! THERE SURE IS! (The following is the opinion of Pete Smith) Dimash's mastery of symbolism is no secret and here.. he poses as a vampire.. representing society as having become dead and losing its emotions and feelings.. and longing for someone, something, to raise him back to mortality. And so he might find a 'girl', who could represent anything in our society, like LOVE, kindness and a sense of belonging.. to bring him back to life.. back to who he really was and who he could be now. And btw.. he does not bite the interviewer.. she is his gateway to heaven (whatever she might represent).. and she will be watching every little step that he takes…. do you get the message? Yes.. while riding to the interview, the journalist dreams that DQ is a vampire (which at that point she doesn't know) and then in her dream she fantasizes that she can bring him back to life (reality) with her love. Briliant commentary. I think Dimash is a unique Philosopher Prince/Ultimate Perfomer/Master of Techniques/Voice of Consciousness. There are performances of his that will be analyzed for decades. Psychologists already use him in therapy and I think he represents Jungian archetypes, a vehicle for understanding and reconciling the dark and light facets of our psyches. I swear in his old age he will be the object of college courses and intense study both for musical excellence and the depth of self-awareness he transmits through his art.

I laughed so hard when I realized the "gotcha!" that it was the woman's dream! He is such a creative genius that has the perfect passion for singing and acting to express it! He's involved of every aspect of his music video's and built all his own production and studio to have complete control over it. Great reaction!
The melody at the beginning and end is not by Dimash. It is the Duet of the Flowers, for soprano and mezzo soprano from the opera Lakmé by Leo Delibes, first sang in Paris in 1886. I won't remember every composition by Dimash, but some of them are: "Unforgettable day", "Give me your love", When I've got you ", "The Story of one sky ", "War and Peace", "Be with me", "El amor en ti", etc.
So, was it a dream?!?!? I don't know if you're aware, but Dimash is completely independent. He has his own production company & produces all his own mv's. He comes up with the stories for the videos & is also a great actor. We would love to see him in a movie one day & he has been offered roles, but, atm, is so busy writing & performing, so maybe one day.........! 😊🙏💞

Er hat so einiges Lieder selber geschrieben, wie zum Beispiel Omir. Da solltest du dir ebenfalls das Musikvideo ansehen, nicht gleich die Live-Version mit seinem Bruder. Hier zeigte er uns eine ganz andere Seite von sich. Er ist nicht nur ein großartiger (meiner Meinung nach der größte) Sänger, sondern auch ein unglaublich talentierter Schauspieler. Er war ein so überzeugender Vampir. Ich liebe das. Ich liebe dieses Genre überhaupt. Some people were unhappy with the story of that video, but if you listen to the song and lyrics, it can be beautiful without the mv. I love both videos, but sometimes I just want the song alone.

Ich muss jetzt echt was loswerden wo ich n bisschen Angst hab dass es falsch aufgefasst werden könnte, aber ich glaub du bist jetzt langsam reif für „The Story of one Sky“. An diesem Meisterwerk hat Dimash 3 Jahre komponiert und auch das Video ist (eher ein Kurzfilm) unfassbar ausdrucksstark. Die Botschaft ist sehr tiefgründig und gesanglich ist es meiner Meinung nach für keinen andren Menschen singbar. Ich würde behaupten dass es nichts gibt was schwerer zu singen wäre😅. Er hat generell viele unglaublich tolle Musikvideos. Die meisten davon ähneln Minifilmen. Und damit überraschte er uns Fans. Immer wieder. Hier zeigte er uns eine ganz andere Seite von sich. Er ist nicht nur ein großartiger (meiner Meinung nach der größte) Sänger, sondern auch ein unglaublich talentierter Schauspieler. Er war ein so überzeugender Vampir. Ich liebe das. Ich liebe dieses Genre überhaupt. Ich war so neugierig auf dieses Video und ich denke, dass er damit die Messlatte für seine zukünftigen Musikvideos sehr hoch gelegt hat.
Was für ein cooler Song. Wieder eine riesen Range aber viele der Reaktoren sind sich dessen nicht bewusst, weil es hier nicht so offensichtlich ist. Ausgezeichnete Riffs und Runs. Ein wirklich tolles Gitarrensolo. Ich denke, es hat ihm irre viel Spaß gemacht, mal den Verführer zu spielen. Es ist mittlerweile eines meiner Lieblingsmusikvideos. Das Lustige ist, dass ich das auch in seinen anderen MVs gesagt habe😅

Ein weltberühmter Künstler, der einen sehr privaten Lebensstil führt, beschloss, sein erstes offenes Interview zu geben. Der von ihm ausgewählte junge Journalist geht voller Aufregung zu dem Treffen, zutiefst besorgt und gequält von der Frage: „Was wäre, wenn?…“. Die lebhafte Fantasie der Frau suggeriert ein geheimnisvolles Bild der Hauptfigur und lässt sie in eine mystische Geschichte eintauchen.

Seine Augen. Sein Blick. Er hat uns erwischt. Ich liebe sein Grinsen, bevor er sich zu ihrem Hals beugt🥵. Schade, das hätte ich gerne gesehen🤭. Damit hat er vielen von uns Dears schlaflose Nächte beschert😅.
Also, wenn du wirklich mehr über Dimash erfahren möchtest, dann empfehle ich dir von LiLaSi den Ultimate Dimash Guide. Da gibt es 11 Videos, die sie alle nach Kategorien zusammengestellt hat. Die meisten sind zwischen 5-15 Minuten lang, aber es gibt auch 2 oder 3 etwas längere. Es gibt einfach viel zu viel lüber ihn zu erzählen. Und auch viel Lustiges. Den Guide lege ich dir wirklich ans Herz. Alle Reaktoren, die bisher darauf reagiert haben, waren begeistert und haben nicht eines ausgelassen.

@@marywebster2488Me too. But when it finally came out and I was able to hold the dream idea in mind it changed my perception. Anyone can have an unsettling dream. The fact that it resolves in that way was a wonderful surprise and relief.😅

Did you see the fancam? If you watch that, or just listen to the song and lyrics on their own, you might really love it. It can have a whole different feeling, like "Okay".
Some people were unhappy with the story of that video, but if you listen to the song and lyrics, it can be beautiful without the mv.
I love both videos, but sometimes I just want the song alone.

Ich muss jetzt echt was loswerden wo ich n bisschen Angst hab dass es falsch aufgefasst werden könnte, aber ich glaub du bist jetzt langsam reif für „The Story of one Sky“.
An diesem Meisterwerk hat Dimash 3 Jahre komponiert und auch das Video ist (eher ein Kurzfilm) unfassbar ausdrucksstark.
Die Botschaft ist sehr tiefgründig und gesanglich ist es meiner Meinung nach für keinen andren Menschen singbar. Ich würde behaupten dass es nichts gibt was schwerer zu singen wäre😅.
Ich kann Dir leider keinen Kofi schenken, aber würde mich für Dich freuen wenn Du Dir Story of one Sky ansiehst.
Bitte nach dem Video auch die Life-Version aus seinem Almaty-Konzert, weil vielen erst da bewusst wird dass das Ooom und der Growl danach auch von ihm gesungen werden.
