1) I am thinking to take admission into CAIR (Centre for artificial intelligence and robotics) MTech research will i be eligible for CSR Placements. 2) I am from Mechanical branch with 426 gate score in XE and 372 gate score in gate data science via which course i can seek admission into Data science courses, if not which branch will be more favorable for data science/analytics placements. 3) Placement process, from this moment what we can prepare for better placement.

It up to you. I will always go with 2nd gen top IITs rather than top NITs. Both are good but old NITs used to have a bit edge on placement.

Is there any placement discrimination between BTech and MTech by the companies? Does Google/MSFT allow MTech or are they only for BTech?
It happens in all the colleges. But very few companies actually do this. Google mostly allows all the branches with MTech and BTech.
