    It would be cool if you filled the cinder blocks with soil or compost and use them as little growing pockets. Nice garden. I grew loofah this year and will every year for now on.

      Yes Loofah is a fun one to grow! I've thought about adding soil to those blocks but it'd end up being a lot of soil so I've just put it off until I get the beds the height I want and inside the bed completely full. I spend about $200-300/year upgrading these beds each year so filling in the blocks is just at the bottom of the list. I'll get to it someday though!

    As you may remember, I've recently moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, zone 7, from Ohio, Zone 6a. I'd love to hear the differences in the weather here. No landscaping had been done to this home....so much has been accomplished in just these two months of being here. I love it! Thanks for all your updates. Love from your 'neighbor'!

      The difference between my weather and yours? You guys are at a higher elevation than us so you'll also be a bit cooler, get frost earlier. There are sub groups under zone 7 and you guys are just a tad cooler than us.
