    I was screaming: this needs a missing belt tensioner! Nevermind Randi's loop-a-loop saved the day! As always Randi gets things working, no matter what! Ingenuity and perseverance leads anywhere!

    It really pays having all those plastic toy mechanisms dismantley and restored; you figured out the hidden mechanism for the high wire act almost naturally! Excellent job as usual, this is the kind of circus kids can enjoy nowadays

    I have to wonder; what kind of person would give this lady's brilliantly creative work a "thumbs down"??? It is beyond me to figure out how miserable a person must be to not be able to realize all of the hard work, genuine imagination, and highly refined skills that Randi puts into her creations. Regardless, Randi you are amazing and I want to, once again, thank you very much for sharing your awesome creativity with all of us on this great channel of yours. Randi! this si soo cool. I had a flea circus as a kid I thinnk it was a mattel one. I always wanted to make a variation of the flea circus using ants. I keep and grow ant colonies now (videos on my channel) and always thought it would be really cool to make a Ant circus and use real live ants. Just haven't figured it out. But you're giving me great ideas!

    Wouldn‘t it be more practical if you mount the mechanism on the underside of the floor and then just add little poles, so if you want to lay it down somewhere, the poles hold the plate up and nothing touches the floor?

    • @RandiRain
      @RandiRain  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so. It's about ease of working on it, and I have already thanked myself several times for making it so easy to remove and get at it to work on it. Plus, what if something needs to be fixed underneath, and now I have to flip over with all the stuff on top that is the finished project? Wait until it's all done, see what is all involved, then tell me if you still think it's a good idea.

    • @Oeli_Maurer
      @Oeli_Maurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are probably right., at the end you know your mechanism the best. It just seemed a litte odd to me.

  • @dDoOyYoOuUtTuUbBeE
    @dDoOyYoOuUtTuUbBeE 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Brilliant ! How about one pulley being spring loaded (like a belt tensioner) to ensure tension and grip of the lace?

    • @RandiRain
      @RandiRain  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did think of that, and it's what I was going to do if the belt slipped off when I folded the poles down, but they seem to stay put and work fine. The crank gets moved a little later on because of the amount of stuff that gets put in, but still works great.

    I had a flea circus once, all but one ran off with a sheep dog. That was end of the circus. What do I do with one flea? Then I tried to teach him to play the harmonica, but I came home day and it had fallen over and killed him. I told him not to practice when I wasn't there. God bless him....
