Man, this Vsaikyou astel really branch out on ppl he talks with doesn't he. I've been following him recently. one of the reasons that he has long after-stream talks is coz he's so considerate to his viewers. he wants his viewers to be braced on what's to come and be talked about in the stream. In Chinese word, we have a abbreviated phrase called "社恐" which means Antisocial and the original phrase comes from "社交恐懼症". However, that phrase also has another phrase with the same abbreviation, it's "社交恐怖份子", which can be translated as "Social Niubility", while this "Niubility" comes from the Chinese phrase "牛逼" which can meant someone is greatly capable at something. Thus, the Chinese Phrase that mentioned "社交恐怖份子" is literally the meaning of a person who's really capable at socializing with the others to one point where a fresh met person can literally talks like a long time friend.

呪物= Idol worship/ fetishize/fetishizer
呪術= Magic, Sorcery. This doesn't even translate into "curse".
Qpi and these livers are afraid of Astel because he jokingly flirts and complements girls until they are embarrassed (because it's fun). He is essentially making girls into a "fetish呪物".

Special grade curse actually is the correct translation. The phrase 特級呪物 (とっきゅうじゅぶつ - special grade cursed object) comes from the manga "Jujutsu Kaisen", and refers to cursed objects of the highest level of danger such as; sukuna's fingers (the fingers of the strongest curse to exist), the death womb paintings (specially bred human curse hybrids), and the Prison Realm (a cube with incredible sealing properties).
Astel is called a special grade cursed object because he spreads terror throughout the customs lobbies with his mad maggie, and stands out a lot because he's the only mad maggie there and is incredibly proficient at her. Lately it has also been reinforced when his curse "leaks out" and he just kind of stops giving a fuck and casually flirts with other female livers, which is VERY rare between male and female vtubers.
To TLDR, Astel is jokingly seen as a sort of looming "threat" that can throw you for a loop both in and out of game and as such should be avoided, similarly to the cursed objects in jujutsu kaisen.
Actually I'd say his only mistake is translating it as "special grade curse" rather than "special grade cursed object", since there is a distinction between the two in the manga, but the nuance here is about the same, so it's not really an issue.
