- Kiwi has a vocabulary probably exceeding 50 words. Here in this video, he says 37 unique words and sounds that we have taught him over the last couple years. See below for those words as they appear in order.

I'm watching my friends parakeets cause they are away for Christmas , they aren't well taken care of over there, so I'm glad I'm taking care of them for now, and I showed them this video. They flipped out, chirping and listening, the green one got as close to the screen as possible and really wanted out of the cage, they are not tame, so catching them is a pain, me and my mom bought them a birdbath and a toy cause there was nothing at all in the cage, they are by a large window in my house so they are very happy to watch the birds outside. At their house their cage is on the ground, basically in the dark, dogs running past them and now they are happy

My boys ain’t tame but they know where the cage opening is so they fly until they get hungry or thirsty and then they go into the cage where food and water are.
Being outside the cage is important for birds. It’s like us being trapped in our house with no chance of moving! 😔

Same thing happened to me. I never gave back the bird. He was alone in a tiny cage, in a dark corner. I got him a huge cage, lots of toys, and a friend. He is now a happy little birb. If you can afford keeping them, do so!

This video taught my budgie to talk in less than a month. I was amazed. He literally repeats everything kiwi says in this video. When we brought him to live with us this September he couldn't talk at all. Now he talks all the time

I’m amazed to hear parakeets speak. Blows my mind. I had parakeets, cockatiels and love birds and talked to them all the time and never a word. Absolutely amazing. He needs a teeny tiny microphone to wear though lol. 🎤🦜

I have two green budgies that are named Link and Luigi out of my ten budgies. One named after the hero of the wild because his personality is very similar to who his named after like how he loves food,loves to climb anything, swing on things and jump off things to fly or flutter to like the game. He also watches me whenever I prepare the food and has that same look when you cook things in breath of the wild. He also likes to get to the food first. Luigi it's obvious who he is named after not just because he's green but I like Luigi better than Mario. He loves to dance like a maniac when music that I like that he even likes is playing. He even dances when I take them in the shower with me. I call them my two green beans or lemon limes but they are so funny as a pair. When I got them they told me that they are also of the same flock that made sense when I got Luigi he recognized Link. They were like "Hey I know you!" 😂
I used to have a budgie named Johnny that looked just like Pixar, he was the most unique parakeet I ever had. He could talk, loved to cuddle, liked to burrow in socks, and slept hanging in the corner of his cage instead of standing up lol I miss that little guy, they really make the best pets
