You can actually really change the colour(so also playable) You need a normal animal and the changing board. So you just have to click the colour/pattern/eye from the normal animal and the dino at the same time and it will glitch that you can actually change the colours! It takes a few tries but its worth it! Edit: It will only stay the custom colours for as long as ur in the game, once you leave and join again later the colours are reset
I find it a bit odd that they designed the different patterns, and yet the dinosaurs only ever have the one pattern. Why bother going through the trouble of designing all those patterns if they weren't going to be used? Unless they had a different plan for the dinos originally, but then changed it last minute.
