Acrobatics don't matter, I'm talking solely about dance which is a mixture of many things like angles, power, musicality, energy, etc. Dance Tier 4 is good, not the most impressive, but certainly pretty impressive so it's not something to get upset about and dancing can always improve. When Jhope started dancing, he was Mid Tier 3. He went up a whole tier just from practicing his technique.

It’s known that Jimin is undeniably the best dancer. Trainees learn from him by studying his performances. Well, I'm picky and until I call someone good or even best, they have to be able to do more than just dance their steps according to a choreography. Jimin is the only one who combines several dance styles together. He is a total package. He is a contemporary and hip hop dancer and even good in freestyle. He dances very smoothly, tactfully, lightly, powerfully and he awakens feelings in people while he dances - not everyone can do that. The cherry on top is that he has an extraordinary charisma and stage presence. He conveys feelings not only with his body but also with his facial expressions.

I'm a big Exol, but if we're going solely on technique, Kai is far from being the best dancer in Kpop. I can name a bunch of idols better at dancing. Mark, Dino, Shotaro, Niki, Jisung, Ten, Jhope etc. Kai's Dance Tier is 5 which to put into perspective, other idols in Tier 5 are Jungkook, Hoshi, Momo, and Lee Know to name a few.
For me, I don't consider Hobi to be the best dancer in Kpop, but I would include him in that conversation. I was thoroughly impressed when I saw Boys Meets Evil. That solidified his talent for me. Since then, I have come to know Taemin, Ten(NCT), Kai(EXO), Taeyong(NCT), and Hyunjin(Stray Kids) to be among the best dancers. I also really like Seulgi(Red Velvet). There are a lot of great dancers in Kpop.

They are asked to perform his songs and no one has covered his songs like him. They either lipsync or just dance. We have watched trainees and oh poor them struggling a lot.

Remember that wasn't a title given officially by the company, it was an position and title he earned, and through that was naturally give it by not only Army's, but also the group, as well as the company. So no, its not just because he came first or is older. I mean Jimin himself recognizes jhope as the Dance Leader, and he knows, same as the rest of them, that jhope is incharge when it comes to dance practices, performance stuff, etc.... We have only more recently been learning how much jhope truly does do as the Dance/Performance Leader. Seriously! It is amazing to see. Plus let me just say one thing, when people go to learn dance from others, they usually go learn from someone better than themselves correct, and usually the leader of the classes or what not, are usually understood to mostly be the best, thats why they are teaching the class, etc.... And just to set this straight because honestly I am tired of seeing this statement being used to infer something that isn't completely legit. Yes Jimin wins a lot of the kpop awards for best dancer, though jhope has also won as well. But seriously, we all know that those are fan voted, and bias and popularity, etc...., can and do play a big rule in those poles for those awards. But just so you do know, jhope is the one that has won an internationlly voted award for not just the best dancer in kpop, but for "Best Male Dancer", period. And there were dancers form all over the world on that list, including some extremely well known artists from the western music industry, and lots more. And in this award bias and popularity can also play a role I am sure. But I would definitely give more legitimacy in many ways to a award that was voted on internationally, not to mention the broader category. And seriously we all know that jhope is the only one that has won 1st place at an actual National Dance Competition, and this was before he even debuted. Unless I am mistaken, I don't know of one other kpop artist that has that type of award, from that level of an actual dance competition. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong though. But now with all that said, seriously others should stop trying to use that point about those kpop based awards as the end all, be all. Because honestly it just is kinda ridiculous.
