As a DTW based pilot & former Airbus driver... This video made my day. 1: I appreciated the fact that even after ATC messed it up, you correctly called it "Joe Lou" because it's for Joe Louis like the arena in Detroit. 2: You also caught the "Never Forget" on the freedom arrival. There are a lot of clever ones on that... Even the "Let's Roll" in honor of Todd Beamer, the passenger on United 93 that lead the uprising against the terrorists on that flight. And 3: the classic over speed of flaps 1 on 320/321s... The Airbus has the tightest flap airspeed restrictions of any commercial aircraft I've ever flown. And our company actually further limits this to 10knots below the speed tape restrictions. It was a constant pain in the ass. The plane doesn't like flying that slow. ATC commonly asks for 210 speed from arrivals and we always called 205 an "Airbus 210" so we could get that first notch of flaps out and fly with more margins for slowing down and going down which the Airbus doesn't like doing.
