When Sally arrived home and Deacon started to tell Sally that he can help her, it was still bright outside of the window (5:48) - when Sally then put down her black hat (15:26) and Deacon continued that 6 months ago he has been in Sally's place, bitter and defeated, until he met Macy and she helped him, it was already dark outside of the window. While it is a bit strange how quickly it turned dark between Sally arriving home and Sally removing her hat (and then all lamps in her apartment turned on), that change still fits with the other scenes, because the wedding also started while it was bright and then changed into night scenes.
"La commedia è finita!" is the final line of the opera _Pagliacci_ - this is the second time in just a few days that Massimo has likened Sally to an opera character, hinting that we are to view her behavior as a _performance_ rather than something to be taken seriously. _Pagliacci_ is, fittingly, an opera about clowns (or rather, commedia dell'arte actors), where the main character unalives his che at ing wife and her Iover on stage during a performance (a play within a play). And _Madama Butterfly,_ which was the first opera character that Massimo likened Sally to in the scene in his office, unalives herself after being abandoned by her husband (and father of her child), just as he returns to take the child away with him. Sally's behavior these days is so off that it's difficult to know what to make of it. It does feel like she is putting on a show. She even says so herself (when she dressed up to go to the wedding).

Supported her through her tumultous relationship with Clarke. Reunited her with Adam. Gave her emotional support when she needed it. It was very much a mutually supportive relationship.
