Artyom looks like the most promising up and coming Superheavyweight for sure. He has already accomplished a lot at a very young age, has the frame to keep getting bigger and stronger, and seems to excel in endurance which is incredibly important in super matches.
Its crazy cuz he's only 24.
People hype up Schoolboy who's also like 23-24? but in SB's defense he went the natty route and he won't get anywhere near the level of peeps like Artyom, probably not even if he starts abusing gear right now.

Dave is so so strong! Just gotta work on some endurance. Morozov is improving with every match! Look at the size of his bicep in that last pull. It looked bigger than Larry Wheels' bicep! He's gonna be an unstoppable force in a few years.
Dave will never change dude, he trains and pulls and little strategy involved. His endurance will never improve so Dave will have to get stronger and win faster. Only option for him
@@codyschale263 he's old and wounded , that's why he pulls how he does, only way that it doesn't hurt after many surgeries. Sadly time takes its toll, and pulling at the elite level for many years leaves its mark. Hopefully Morozov will still be this good at 45 and doesn't end up like Denis.

If I'm not mistaken, Artyom was a participant in the junior category in 2012 at the World Cup in Brazil.. that means he has been doing armwrestling since he was 14 years old…
maybe its the camera angle, but I thought Dave had him pinned in the second round much earlier. they didnt call it and so he gassed himself out until they finally gave him the pin. The match was done at that point but could have been much different if he really pinned him earlier.
I think this was the most versatile I have seen Dave pulling. Did neither think he would have the defensive toproll to get the slip in him, nor doing the flopwrist press. Impressive! But the lack of stamina keeps being a problem… and this was only a 3 round match.
his nerve problem really took off a lot of his strength. But Morozov is amazing, dude is only 24 y.o and already beating Chaffee (who beat Kurdecha 6-0 some months ago)

Morozov is incredible for only being 24 I am Super impressed, he’s definitely gonna be a difficult match for anyone but I do believe Dave is the stronger man just doesn’t seem to have endurance for these super matches.
Stronger in first 2 rounds with his specific technic but from next year on Artyom Morozov most likely definatly stronger on all fronts. His potential is huge! Preparing for Levan this young man.

i think it's pretty obvious at this point that dave is an amazing tournament puller, but not so much in super matches. his endurances just doesn't cut it and he doesn't recover quickly enough. he's got amazing top end strength though. props to morozov, not quite as strong, but his youth definitely helped him here. at such a young age, he is the future.
Devon and MMT figured that out awhile ago. If Dave ever showed up with some defensive strategy he would be hard to beat.

Really like the changes I saw from Dave Chafee. The willingness to run once the lactic acid built up. Now if he tried for the intentional slip from round 2 I think it would push his endurance out far enough to win these bleeders. I also think it possible for Dave to give Levan a real challenge if he can double his endurance and close that little bit of strength gap. Lactic buffers Dave!

Unbealiavable performance by Kazah terminator, not only righthand win vs Chaffee but also lefthand win vs Merritt! Like last EvW, he takes 2 wins again in both hands over western guy. More and more i think of Tsyplenkov when i watsch Artjom Morozov. And only 24y old...

Kazakhstan has a large diaspora of ethnic Russians, Ukrainians, etc. It is common for big countries to have many ethnic groups. Russia is made up of like 200 ethnic groups. Is Khabib ethnic Russian? No, he is Avar. Dagestani people are very different from ethnic Russians.
There are many Turkic and Mongol ethnic groups living in in Russia (Tatars, Kashkers, Udmurts, Yakuts, Chukchi, Kalmyks). So I don't know what your point is. Ethnicity is irrelevant. Morozov is Kazakh and Khabib is Russian.

East vs West is the best thing to ever happen to armwrestling, not only does it feature a lot of the big names but it’s a great platform to give up and comers such as Morozov the exposure they deserve, Engin is a true legend
Much like John Brzenk’s March with Ongarbaev, this is less about how bad Chaffee is and more about how promising Morozov is. All legends need tests and losses to show what they need to continue working on. For John it’s his hand and speed off the go. When he got that, he was able to pin Ongarbaev impressively. For Dave he just needs better Endurance. That seems to be the new edge this younger generation is bringing (along with stupid power and technique). Don’t rule out Dave, he’s so incredible. What a great event!! The west will take these lessons and come back better 💪💪

Agreed 100%. That being said, Dave has lacked endurance his entire career. If he doesn't have it by now I doubt he ever will. I hope I'm wrong though.

What a display of power and endurance
i wonder why Dave stopped hooking, his top roll is very strong, but he struggles on the finish line, this issue combined with his poor endurance costed him in the last two outings, i would've also liked to see at least one round in the hook, but man, Morozov is looking to reach monster level pretty soon, all his EeastvWest appearances he looked insane.
cos of injuries dave has alot of injuries not the same as healthy prime dave in past. hard to see dave loose.
In EvW2 Morozov lost to Prudnyk, and almost injured his chest though
When was the last time Dave even hook in a big match? Even 2013, 2014 against Denis, toproll already is his go to move that time. He didn't really commit a hook for years, did he?

I was on the Morozov train after East vs. West 3. This kid is a star!!
Remember, the poll for this match on Engin's community page had Dave 87% vs. Artyom 13%. What I commented on it back then was: "Wow, the results of that poll. People just don't learn."
I hope people now have learned - Morozov is for real! And what a great person he is too - so funny, so respectful, so genuine. I am rooting for him one day, maybe sooner than later, be one of the top stars and ambassador of the sport.

@Od1sseas Not as much as you need it for Supermatches. For supermatches, the time-off between rounds in 1 to 1.5 minutes..but for tournaments, it is much more.
