I love planes but I will never understand why using really big planes for less than 3h flights (other than making money by having many passengers on the flight)... Nice video mate!
Making money is why airlines operate, and Asia is a huge market needing high capacity between not only capital cities but many others. So large aircraft are needed on many routes within the 3 hour window.
There are not many US tourists and even less US business travellers so US airlines have very few services to Bkk. Most travellers from here to the US prefer the better quality of service on Asian airlines. THAI does not fly to the US but the likes of Korean, China Airlines, JAL, ANA are good choices.
