Of course its a good ride. I've had one since the beginning of 2015, after complying with the licence system here in Brisbane. Though the market is flooded from the 50cc to 300cc the upper levels of the market is where scooters max out, and I was looking at the Hondas anyway over the other Japanese and European scooters, the 150 is a standout. It might be Thai built, but it is a Honda. My speedo reads between 10 and 10,500kms. I have found my machine will do 110kph, which is about 90 miles. But it is governed at that speed, as it is the max speed limit in Queensland. So I believe whilst 160kmh might seem like a pipe dream, 140 is a realistic max out, though I wouldn't want to be doing that speed too often. It would be unstable. I have found it to be great at slowing once you lessen the throttle. I can say that people prefer to be in front me. Mostly I let them go. I believe they percieve me to on a 50cc machine and therefore it "gutless". I can say this isn't the case. You won't drag motorbikes on this, but if you ride properly you can beat most cars, only those who can't face being beaten by a scooter will be the drivers that cause the problems. Fortunately due to being such a well behaved machine you can deal with these people who want to cut you off.
Yeah it's funny just yesterday I was stopped at a light in the right lane with a car in the left lane beside me. A pickup truck pulls up behind me and at the last second decides to switch to left lane - I'm assuming he thought I was on a slow scooter and he'd be better off being behind the car. So when the light turned green I took off and left them both so far behind that they never caught up - of course the speed limit was only 45 so being able to hit 60 pretty quick is great for a scooter on that kind of road.
As a courier I need the space of a scooter, as my job is all about what and how much I can carry. I started using the idling stop function. I don't know if it saves fuel, but I will only know if I try it. The other people on the road are mostly decent although I got hooted by a driver who though I'd indicated decided to roar up behind me. The speed limit is 40kmh in Brisbane now, but this driver was definitely doing 60 kph when she decided she wasn't going to slow. what a cow of driver.
I'm planning to get my self one of these real soon if not then a Yamaha vity 125. Here in London traffic is a nightmare and, I'm spending way too much on public transport.

Good review, I always have had my eyes on these things on CL. I seen a couple with the Yuminashi 175cc kit and it makes a marked significant improvement. Well worth it in my book. My current motorcycle it's "magically" getting heavier and heavier with every passing year, the clutch is a constant bother and I feel less and less like tinkering with regular service items. My riding mileage does not justify it's ownership and operating costs, I(a S.Floridian btw) see a less than 300cc zippy scooter in my near future.
Thanks for a plain-speaking review. I am thinking of replacing my Suzuki Address 125 (2010) with a PCX150. It will be for work-and-back, which is only about 5 miles each way, but needs to be 'O.K.' for 2-up day trips, too. Here in Japan, unbelievably, the PCX we get is made in Vietnam. In fairness though, it was not intended for the Japanese market to begin with, and PCX here is labeled as a 'reverse-import'. I have a 2012 V-Strom 650, too, so this would not be my only bike, and would not be used for 'planned' long distances, but I do want a small maxi scooter that does not struggle with a passenger (me and my lady = about 140 kilos/300 pounds total). The 125 I have now is great for that, and will cruise at 45 mph/ 70kph 2-up, but the seat is too short by far, that's all. Gives me about 105-115 miles/US gallon (40 kilos/litre). Anyway I got off track a bit there. Thanks for the video. I love the look of this, and according to some websites, as the Majesty S - a.k.a. V-Max, has a steel frame, this PCX is a little better on fuel.
+Gator Greg I bought a 2015 model 150cc PCX in Jan 2016. 3 months later I am pleased with the fuel economy, the comfort compared to my Address 125, the smooth acceleration from a start and the fairly smooth low speed fueling and easy filtering. I am not pleased with the engine noise, the lack of power compared to the Suzuki Burgman 200cc which I considered as an alternative the the PCX, the ease with which a side-wind, even a mild one, swipes me across the lane. It's a white bike and has the LED lights, so it looks very sweet, but I did not buy it for looks as I don't care about looks much at all. Overall, I am pleased with the bike for the money so far. It was 300,000 Yen for a 10-month-old one with 4,400 kilometres on the clock. It was intended to replace my Address 125 for work and back, but I have decided to keep the Address for work and back (stop-and-go) round-town work, and have the PCX for my frequent 40 kilometre bypass road ride with little braking and steady comfort.
Nice scoot... thanks for the review. How is it now that you've had it a while? Also, I'm glad to talk about gloves, helmet and jacket, but then I notice you're wearing shorts!?!?!? Bad move... I wear full riding pants even when it's 100°. And Florida drivers are notoriously bad.

Great review. You & I own the same scooter (White) Like you, I took advantage of the $500.00 discount for the 2015 model. They just got in the 2016 "Space Grey" & I have to admit, I like that color better. White is perfect in Florida. I keep this down @ our 2nd home in Stuart. I own a Kymco GT300i back home in Gloucester, MA. I have no complaints myself. Would have been nice if the rear was disc, but braking is very solid just the same. Thanks for sharing! I had this same discussion with a friend over the weekend ... he was wearing jeans and I was wearing cotton long pants as we got on our bikes. Neither would provide adequate protection in a spill, not even at low speed. One would have to wear a padded Kevlar, leather or similar riding suit for any real protection. Jeans are only marginally better than shorts. Given the increasing traffic volumes and the large number of careless drivers out there, I'm seriously considering hanging up my helmet, or sticking to adventure riding on deserted dirt roads.
The best scooter ever!! I have the 2011 PCX model. Hey, btw, wear jeans dude!!!!! I fell off once making a turn at 40-50ish mph and got a nasty roadrash on my knees even with jeans on!
I bought a new 2016 white PCX about a week ago. Put 108km on it so far just tooling round our neighbourhood. I've ridden lots of bikes, big n small, over 20 yrs and am loving this little scoot.

Nice review. Good video and well narrated. Too bad you ran out of memory. I went from a 300cc scooter to a 300cc Honda motorbike. Now I'm considering adding this scooter to the stable. While the motorbike has a superior ride, the frequent shifting is not as efficient in town as the CVT.
Yeah a 150cc scooter would make a nice companion to a motocycle - having the ability to just twist and go along with the storage capacity under the seat makes the PCX a super convenient and easy to ride machine. But you're not gonna get the same thrills as you get shifting gears on even a 300cc motorcycle.
The 125 version still uses the same bottom end so its well under rated and makes them ultra reliable . Loads in Europe with well over 40000 trouble free miles on the clock. About 60 to 65 is the best you can get with the 125 but it will cruise at 50 -55 all day and return at that speed 110 to 120mpg ( imperial ) Many are used as scenery tourers where the journeys views are more important than carving the corners or the time of arrival. Each type of riding has merit. Stay safe guys happy riding.
Glad to see scooters making a comeback. I had the Honda Elite 125 and later the Honda Helix 250 back in the day. Great, great memories. I may have to look into getting this one. :)
Thanks for the review. Off topic but what I find interesting is the amount of standardization in US roadways is pretty nuts to me. I live by a roadway that looks nearly identical to that, with the only differences being that the roads are poorly maintained here and the buildings not on the road.
Interesting to see motorcycling culture in other countries. Where I live, traffic is very chaotic and motorcycles are usually very aggressive. There's no way you'd see a motorcyclist standing there waiting for the car ahead of them while there's plenty of room in-between the lanes to go through. We call them the "bike corridor"

+Joe Quattrocchi I just used cycletrader.com to find what I wanted - a white 2015 - and by the time I was shopping in late summer there was only one left that I could find anywhere in my area - so that made my choice of dealer an easy one - LOL. It does seem like the dealers in our area put all their new PCX's on cycletrader and in looking just now I still see a few leftover black 2015's and even a new black 2013 and I see quite a few 2016 red and grays to choose from. So I would recommend you try to pit them all against each other to a certain extent to try to save some money. Good luck!

Question. Going to buy the exact same bike (2015 Honda PCX, Pearl white) with 1400 miles. Seller is firm on $2000 price. Do you think that is a fair price?
My 2 cents . I bought a 2013,33,300. Yes 33,300 miles now has 40100 . Runs like new . Minimal maintaince repairs . Best scooter I've ever owned. Had 87 honda 150 elite still do. 2003 derbie atlantis 50cc,traded my 2004 suzuki burgman 400 for this with half the milage and never looked back . It's like a pack mule and gas usage is consistent and any parts are more than reasonable of line from babbits. Buy it if you like it.
Hey profane, hmmm...maintaining 55 up a long incline might be pushing it - I think it depends on just how steep the incline is. I want to say the PCX could do it but there are no hills where I live so I can't really say for sure. I can say that you will want to ride the PCX more than the 5-6 times per year for your Harley. I find myself coming up with errands to run so I'll have an excuse to ride the PCX :D
hey greg, two questions... i am really looking into this bike, ive already test driven it, thinking of getting the silver 2016. My questions are, can you put or do they make wider tires for the front and back on the pcx? i have a little modded 100cc taotao zummer that has tires that look like they belong on a Grom, ive gotten used to them gripping the road, especially when it rains (im from miami florida, so you know that's quite often) i have know quite a few people that have the bike slip out in the middle of a turn. My other question... is do you have to be careful when putting a louder exhaust on the pcx for sake of loosing gas mileage or damaging the bike ? its so wonderfully quiet it scares me that no one can hear me. thanks
I don't have personal experience with those mods on my PCX but if you search the forum at HondaPCX.org there are lots of threads that talk about aftermarket exhaust and a few threads talking about wider tires.
I am getting ready to buy a white left over 2015 also. If the price is real I am going tomorrow to get it lol. I emailed them. I am 6-1, 190 and hope I can maintain 55 up say mile long inclines. Any help on that lol. This is gonna be my 2nd bike, have Harley ride maybe 5-6 times a year.
+profaneslave Even with the old 125cc with me and my wife and a combined weight of more than 130kg it could cope with very steep hills at 85-90kmh. This little scooters are better than the engine specs show and they are very capable little machines.

1200 miles, had it serviced / check gap clearance, etc. I ride 55mph highways so I avergage 78 MPG. Only couple hills I fail to maintain 52-53 MPH but if I tuck behind the small windshield, I maintain 60! Found that wild. Being I got $400 bonus bucks, I am a happy camper after the Michelins. Ordering a Kurakyan clear lightstrip for the front & 2nd brake light for the rear. I gotta get a better pair of front fork springs, fine under 45 but kill ya at 58.
I ride a 2011 PCX 125, dealer had a blowout sale on a 14 Forza. Give it a shot, what a big letdown, the Forza handles like a pig, and just no fun. Did not feel that fast, fun or agile to warrant opening my wallet. For the money Nothing I have ever ridden rides like a PCX.

Good scooter can take drops and car hits really good rebound and still run, full face helmet is advised for this scooter because the weight on front will make u fall face first, ditch stock tires , good tires mak big dif,would not suggest for daily hightway ridding,although i went across bay bridge 7 times on this and highway 15 times but its not comfortable on the highway going 65 mpg all day it gets hot, but if u ride n city all day everyday at 40-50 it does not get hot and gets about 70-80 mpg in the city
Nice review. You mention Portugal as a place where one can drive 125cc mc with a licens for cars. In Denmark that is almost true. Only it's not the engine size that matters but the speed. If you limit a bike, any bike, to only 30 mph, you can drive anything with a licens for cars.

I bought a 125cc direct bikes scorpion recently for £900 but the mirrors aren't correct. One of them faces a little too high up. And I cant correct it...
I'm thinking of upgrading from a toatao 49cc to PCX. does the rain affect the scooter like the switches, any electrical problems? there might be some days that I get caught in the rain going to and coming from work. I park in covered parking at work and I have a scooter cover. and when home I park in the garage
I've been doing my research I believe that the PCX 150 is for me, at 66 years old is the best deal going. I pretty much lost most of my Ricky racer tendencies. There is nowhere I have to go that I can't get there by the back streets. Good review thumbs up.
I lived in Vietnam for over a year and had a Honda PCX 150 and it is in awesome motorbike. Mine went 70 miles an hour no problem at all. Used good gas and throw an octane boost in their then you'll get some miles out of it

Would love to hear more about your reluctance to use the Ninja 300, as I'm still debating between scooter and motorcycle as a first bike. If you had put a large top case on the Ninja do you think might have been inclined to use it more?

I used to have a 98 Honda Elite LX, but I ended up giving it to my 3rd oldest brother, but I think it is mainly heading for the recycling yard now, and eventually, I would like to get him something like that or the Bergman, or the Silverwing. He mainly rides it around town of Springdale, but I am thinking that I would like to go on some Arkansas tours with him with me on my 2014 Honda CTX 1300 Deluxe, and either him on a Bergman, Silverwing, or that bike around town. Do you have any multi-weather gear for you that you wear? I wear a Joe Rocket Multi 3 in 1 rain gear. I talk about it in my "My NEW Gear!!!" video on my channel.

+Gator Greg Lucky you. It will rain here off and on, or when mother nature can make up her mind from week to week. LOL :-) Last week it had rained on Friday and then it is in the 70s in the morning and lows as much as low 50s and 60s in the evening time this week.
I fear for your knees. I wear knee guards and elbow guards every time I go out on my bike, and I go out every day. I know how easy ti is to fall off, having done it 3 or 4 times. A knee coming down hard onto asphalt is a misery I intend to never experience again.

Been thinking of getting one of these. I currently ride my bicycle to work, but plan on moving soon. Would be about a 15-20 mile commute to work. Never ridden a scooter before and worry about how these would handle in the rain. The extra challenges, so to speak. Any thoughts, or advice you could give a fellow Floridian?
+seqouiaflame I think the PCX would be perfect for a 15-20 mile commute provided you don't need to get on an interstate highway for more than a mile or two. I try not to ride in the rain but if you plan to do it regularly I would invest in a taller windscreen and better tires - if you go to the forum at hondapcx.org you will see several good threads on this. Also, as you probably already know from riding your bike to work, cagers running late to work pose an extra hazard to two wheel commuters so be very careful and invest in some good high vis gear and maybe some extra lights - I just posted a couple of new vids where I've added some LED white strobes to the front of my PCX.

Hey Gator. I live in Ontario in Canada. I have a 2015 PCX 150. Somehow mine is a metallic silver/brown color (depending on the light). I thought they were only black and white as well. I love mine.
Yeah I think Canada gets different colors sometimes than the USA - I just saw on the USA site that for 2017 the PCX 150 will be available in blue and white.

Pearl White is coming back to USA for 2017 models - along with a dark blue - I just saw it on Honda's website - no other changes for 2017 as far as I could tell. I would keep the 300 if you need to go fast though.

At 320 miles I ditched the IRC tires. Greg you must, you must get a set of Michelin city grips. Before anyone buys rear shocks, ditch the cheap tires. So much smoother & grip like glue. Sold tires 8 years, nuttin close to a Michelin.
I've heard these tires come up more than once in the forums, I'm convinced they're the way to go. I really love the micheys on my car. And when i get my scoot, these will be the first upgrade for sure. My car payment is holding me back, but not for much longer
I'm thinking about getting either this scooter or the Yamaha SMAX. You chose this scooter over the Yamaha knowing that the Yamaha is a better highway performer. What drew you to this one? I like the looks, price, lower weight and higher fuel efficiency of the PCX, but the SMAX has more power so it's a tough choice.
+Samuel Frade SMAX would definitely be better if you plan to regularly ride on highways because of its higher top speed but you can get away with the PCX on the highway in a pinch - this video was the only time I rode on the highway and it was just fine cruising in the slow lane - but I only plan to use my PCX for suburban riding where it really shines. If you have a car for highways than the PCX makes a great 2nd vehicle. Things I preferred PCX over SMAX were comfort, LED lights, color (dealer only had the goldish color SMAX) and fact that it's a Honda - I'm a bit of a Honda fanboy having owned 6 Honda/Acuras over the years that have all been great - even my lawnmower is a Honda - LOL. So having the Honda name on the PCX is reassuring to me :) Good luck in your choice!

I have a 2015 pcx 150, I ride it on the freeway/highway. I stay in the slow lane, and cruse between 55 and 60 mph. It's very stable.

The 125 I have now is great for that, and will cruise at 45 mph/ 70kph 2-up, but the seat is too short by far, that's all. Gives me about 105-115 miles/US gallon (40 kilos/litre).

3 months later I am pleased with the fuel economy, the comfort compared to my Address 125, the smooth acceleration from a start and the fairly smooth low speed fueling and easy filtering.
I am not pleased with the engine noise, the lack of power compared to the Suzuki Burgman 200cc which I considered as an alternative the the PCX, the ease with which a side-wind, even a mild one, swipes me across the lane.
It's a white bike and has the LED lights, so it looks very sweet, but I did not buy it for looks as I don't care about looks much at all.
Overall, I am pleased with the bike for the money so far. It was 300,000 Yen for a 10-month-old one with 4,400 kilometres on the clock. It was intended to replace my Address 125 for work and back, but I have decided to keep the Address for work and back (stop-and-go) round-town work, and have the PCX for my frequent 40 kilometre bypass road ride with little braking and steady comfort.

Great review. You & I own the same scooter (White) Like you, I took advantage of the $500.00 discount for the 2015 model. They just got in the 2016 "Space Grey" & I have to admit, I like that color better. White is perfect in Florida. I keep this down @ our 2nd home in Stuart. I own a Kymco GT300i back home in Gloucester, MA. I have no complaints myself. Would have been nice if the rear was disc, but braking is very solid just the same. Thanks for sharing! I had this same discussion with a friend over the weekend ... he was wearing jeans and I was wearing cotton long pants as we got on our bikes. Neither would provide adequate protection in a spill, not even at low speed. One would have to wear a padded Kevlar, leather or similar riding suit for any real protection. Jeans are only marginally better than shorts. Given the increasing traffic volumes and the large number of careless drivers out there, I'm seriously considering hanging up my helmet, or sticking to adventure riding on deserted dirt roads.

Nice review. Good video and well narrated. Too bad you ran out of memory. I went from a 300cc scooter to a 300cc Honda motorbike. Now I'm considering adding this scooter to the stable. While the motorbike has a superior ride, the frequent shifting is not as efficient in town as the CVT.
Yeah a 150cc scooter would make a nice companion to a motocycle - having the ability to just twist and go along with the storage capacity under the seat makes the PCX a super convenient and easy to ride machine. But you're not gonna get the same thrills as you get shifting gears on even a 300cc motorcycle.

The 125 version still uses the same bottom end so its well under rated and makes them ultra reliable .
Loads in Europe with well over 40000 trouble free miles on the clock.
About 60 to 65 is the best you can get with the 125 but it will cruise at 50 -55 all day and return at that speed 110 to 120mpg ( imperial )
Many are used as scenery tourers where the journeys views are more important than carving the corners or the time of arrival.
Each type of riding has merit.

Thanks for the review. Off topic but what I find interesting is the amount of standardization in US roadways is pretty nuts to me. I live by a roadway that looks nearly identical to that, with the only differences being that the roads are poorly maintained here and the buildings not on the road.

Interesting to see motorcycling culture in other countries. Where I live, traffic is very chaotic and motorcycles are usually very aggressive. There's no way you'd see a motorcyclist standing there waiting for the car ahead of them while there's plenty of room in-between the lanes to go through. We call them the "bike corridor"
Here in California, it's legal to ride in between cars, or what we call splitting lanes.
The only state in the U.S. that it's legal.
In NSW (Australia ) it's totally legal and called feathering
In China is not necessary because the whole city has lanes specially made for scooters and bikes. It's something I miss about living there.

+Joe Quattrocchi I just used cycletrader.com to find what I wanted - a white 2015 - and by the time I was shopping in late summer there was only one left that I could find anywhere in my area - so that made my choice of dealer an easy one - LOL. It does seem like the dealers in our area put all their new PCX's on cycletrader and in looking just now I still see a few leftover black 2015's and even a new black 2013 and I see quite a few 2016 red and grays to choose from. So I would recommend you try to pit them all against each other to a certain extent to try to save some money. Good luck!

My 2 cents . I bought a 2013,33,300. Yes 33,300 miles now has 40100 . Runs like new . Minimal maintaince repairs . Best scooter I've ever owned. Had 87 honda 150 elite still do. 2003 derbie atlantis 50cc,traded my 2004 suzuki burgman 400 for this with half the milage and never looked back . It's like a pack mule and gas usage is consistent and any parts are more than reasonable of line from babbits. Buy it if you like it.

Hey profane, hmmm...maintaining 55 up a long incline might be pushing it - I think it depends on just how steep the incline is. I want to say the PCX could do it but there are no hills where I live so I can't really say for sure. I can say that you will want to ride the PCX more than the 5-6 times per year for your Harley. I find myself coming up with errands to run so I'll have an excuse to ride the PCX :D
hey greg, two questions... i am really looking into this bike, ive already test driven it, thinking of getting the silver 2016. My questions are, can you put or do they make wider tires for the front and back on the pcx? i have a little modded 100cc taotao zummer that has tires that look like they belong on a Grom, ive gotten used to them gripping the road, especially when it rains (im from miami florida, so you know that's quite often) i have know quite a few people that have the bike slip out in the middle of a turn.
My other question... is do you have to be careful when putting a louder exhaust on the pcx for sake of loosing gas mileage or damaging the bike ? its so wonderfully quiet it scares me that no one can hear me.

I don't have personal experience with those mods on my PCX but if you search the forum at HondaPCX.org there are lots of threads that talk about aftermarket exhaust and a few threads talking about wider tires.

I am getting ready to buy a white left over 2015 also. If the price is real I am going tomorrow to get it lol. I emailed them. I am 6-1, 190 and hope I can maintain 55 up say mile long inclines. Any help on that lol. This is gonna be my 2nd bike, have Harley ride maybe 5-6 times a year.
+profaneslave Even with the old 125cc with me and my wife and a combined weight of more than 130kg it could cope with very steep hills at 85-90kmh. This little scooters are better than the engine specs show and they are very capable little machines.

I've been riding it alot, put 800 miles on it already. Perfect for everyday city commuting.
1200 miles, had it serviced / check gap clearance, etc. I ride 55mph highways so I avergage 78 MPG. Only couple hills I fail to maintain 52-53 MPH but if I tuck behind the small windshield, I maintain 60! Found that wild. Being I got $400 bonus bucks, I am a happy camper after the Michelins. Ordering a Kurakyan clear lightstrip for the front & 2nd brake light for the rear. I gotta get a better pair of front fork springs, fine under 45 but kill ya at 58.
I ride a 2011 PCX 125, dealer had a blowout sale on a 14 Forza. Give it a shot, what a big letdown, the Forza handles like a pig, and just no fun. Did not feel that fast, fun or agile to warrant opening my wallet. For the money Nothing I have ever ridden rides like a PCX.

Good scooter can take drops and car hits really good rebound and still run, full face helmet is advised for this scooter because the weight on front will make u fall face first, ditch stock tires , good tires mak big dif,would not suggest for daily hightway ridding,although i went across bay bridge 7 times on this and highway 15 times but its not comfortable on the highway going 65 mpg all day it gets hot, but if u ride n city all day everyday at 40-50 it does not get hot and gets about 70-80 mpg in the city
Nice review. You mention Portugal as a place where one can drive 125cc mc with a licens for cars. In Denmark that is almost true. Only it's not the engine size that matters but the speed. If you limit a bike, any bike, to only 30 mph, you can drive anything with a licens for cars.

I bought a 125cc direct bikes scorpion recently for £900 but the mirrors aren't correct. One of them faces a little too high up. And I cant correct it...
I'm thinking of upgrading from a toatao 49cc to PCX. does the rain affect the scooter like the switches, any electrical problems? there might be some days that I get caught in the rain going to and coming from work. I park in covered parking at work and I have a scooter cover. and when home I park in the garage
I've been doing my research I believe that the PCX 150 is for me, at 66 years old is the best deal going. I pretty much lost most of my Ricky racer tendencies. There is nowhere I have to go that I can't get there by the back streets. Good review thumbs up.
I lived in Vietnam for over a year and had a Honda PCX 150 and it is in awesome motorbike. Mine went 70 miles an hour no problem at all. Used good gas and throw an octane boost in their then you'll get some miles out of it

I used to have a 98 Honda Elite LX, but I ended up giving it to my 3rd oldest brother, but I think it is mainly heading for the recycling yard now, and eventually, I would like to get him something like that or the Bergman, or the Silverwing. He mainly rides it around town of Springdale, but I am thinking that I would like to go on some Arkansas tours with him with me on my 2014 Honda CTX 1300 Deluxe, and either him on a Bergman, Silverwing, or that bike around town. Do you have any multi-weather gear for you that you wear? I wear a Joe Rocket Multi 3 in 1 rain gear. I talk about it in my "My NEW Gear!!!" video on my channel.

+Gator Greg Lucky you. It will rain here off and on, or when mother nature can make up her mind from week to week. LOL :-) Last week it had rained on Friday and then it is in the 70s in the morning and lows as much as low 50s and 60s in the evening time this week.
I fear for your knees. I wear knee guards and elbow guards every time I go out on my bike, and I go out every day. I know how easy ti is to fall off, having done it 3 or 4 times. A knee coming down hard onto asphalt is a misery I intend to never experience again.
i have an S8150cc by Kymco, which is about the same with the Pcx 150cc, i could reach 120-125kph.

Been thinking of getting one of these. I currently ride my bicycle to work, but plan on moving soon. Would be about a 15-20 mile commute to work. Never ridden a scooter before and worry about how these would handle in the rain. The extra challenges, so to speak. Any thoughts, or advice you could give a fellow Floridian?
+seqouiaflame I think the PCX would be perfect for a 15-20 mile commute provided you don't need to get on an interstate highway for more than a mile or two. I try not to ride in the rain but if you plan to do it regularly I would invest in a taller windscreen and better tires - if you go to the forum at hondapcx.org you will see several good threads on this. Also, as you probably already know from riding your bike to work, cagers running late to work pose an extra hazard to two wheel commuters so be very careful and invest in some good high vis gear and maybe some extra lights - I just posted a couple of new vids where I've added some LED white strobes to the front of my PCX.

Hey Gator. I live in Ontario in Canada. I have a 2015 PCX 150. Somehow mine is a metallic silver/brown color (depending on the light). I thought they were only black and white as well. I love mine.
Yeah I think Canada gets different colors sometimes than the USA - I just saw on the USA site that for 2017 the PCX 150 will be available in blue and white.
I have a burgman 400 and I use the power. I can put my jacket under the seat and take everything with me.
With daily ride on the motorway, there will be a need to change piston after 24 months surely?

Pearl White is coming back to USA for 2017 models - along with a dark blue - I just saw it on Honda's website - no other changes for 2017 as far as I could tell. I would keep the 300 if you need to go fast though.

At 320 miles I ditched the IRC tires. Greg you must, you must get a set of Michelin city grips. Before anyone buys rear shocks, ditch the cheap tires. So much smoother & grip like glue. Sold tires 8 years, nuttin close to a Michelin.
I've heard these tires come up more than once in the forums, I'm convinced they're the way to go. I really love the micheys on my car. And when i get my scoot, these will be the first upgrade for sure. My car payment is holding me back, but not for much longer
I'm thinking about getting either this scooter or the Yamaha SMAX. You chose this scooter over the Yamaha knowing that the Yamaha is a better highway performer. What drew you to this one? I like the looks, price, lower weight and higher fuel efficiency of the PCX, but the SMAX has more power so it's a tough choice.
+Samuel Frade SMAX would definitely be better if you plan to regularly ride on highways because of its higher top speed but you can get away with the PCX on the highway in a pinch - this video was the only time I rode on the highway and it was just fine cruising in the slow lane - but I only plan to use my PCX for suburban riding where it really shines. If you have a car for highways than the PCX makes a great 2nd vehicle. Things I preferred PCX over SMAX were comfort, LED lights, color (dealer only had the goldish color SMAX) and fact that it's a Honda - I'm a bit of a Honda fanboy having owned 6 Honda/Acuras over the years that have all been great - even my lawnmower is a Honda - LOL. So having the Honda name on the PCX is reassuring to me :) Good luck in your choice!
