Why is Scoot at a bad position in Portland? Bad would be, if he doesn´t get any minutes in a contending team. But he is playing and with simons,sharpe and grant he has some solid players he can pass to and make some play calls. So it is really up to him to develop. It´s the best position to be imo...
Never understood the Scoot hype. While not undersized there is a prospect of Scoot's build that is available every year so it's not like you have to wait 5-10 years for another Scoot type build. Brandon Millers builds are just simply harder to find. Furthermore Brandon Miller can shoot the 3 and Scoot can't. This wasn't even a secret and Scoot's inability to shoot the 3 has made it so much harder to showcase the rest of his (alleged) game. Finally Scoot has missed some time so there is some durability questions I have. I have been Charlotte Hornets fan since their inaugural season, so glad they made the correct call by taking Brandon over Scoot!!!!!
I watched miller go 2 for like 23 in the ncaa tourney. I really thought he would struggle but he’s surprisingly had a super efficient first year . Honestly a good pick but it’s early to say if scoot is actually bad or not . Rookie PGs historically struggle .
@@md2949 If he was on a different team than the T-Wolves he would be shining rn but he has looked great in the g league. He’s almost 3 years younger than Jaime and has elite physical tools and can play 3-5 maybe he doesn’t pan out but I won’t be surprised at all if he’s better than Jaquez in a couple years. Jalen Johnson is likely to be better than Herb Jones long term from 2021 class but most ppl would have said thats a bad take after their rookie years
i like the fact that yall own up to your mistakes -- first things first w picks historically NO MATTER WHAT -- they must be a baller w skills already and love ball and if those arent present then a hard pass -- too often we try to fit that athlete round peg in the nba baller square and yall get burned. all u had to do was watch the south carolina game where bm torched GG jackson at sc after the gun stuff. crowd didnt faze him and he laced the arena to silence like a 6 9 sniper
I don’t think he’s a bad player but he isn’t what he was hyped up to be at least not yet regardless I think miller is better than him now and will be better than him long term he’s already such a polished prospect and I think he has potential to be the best small forward in the game don’t see that potential with scoot
I like Scoot, but "Much Better" is an L take. Brandon's ceiling is like PG or Tatum, while even Scoot could be a Ja or a less explosive D.Rose, that doesn't fit the descriptions of "Much Better" tho...
