    I just want to thank you for these short mini lessons! I've been playing piano for almost 4 years now with TH-cam videos and learned the keys from knowing how to play violin but, I never knew all of this about chords. I never took the time to learn about the piano and how to play it itself so I thank you for these lessons a lot :)

    I wanted to know what this notation was on my lead sheets. But because I didn’t know that these chords were called slash chords I didn’t know what to search for. But as I’m watching a lot of piano playing videos TH-cam algorithm put this on my home page. Great news and thank you for the excellent explanation 👍🏻

    • @PIANOSTYLE100
      @PIANOSTYLE100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree the A or C#.. most likely C# is walking down to the 4 chord D ..or possible Bmin7 as that would be in that might be in the song.. This has a lot of answers..experimenting is one of the best ways to learn. Also I use an old fashion spiral notebook and write things out by hand. It helps with creative process..

    You said the Amaj7/ B was a Bsus13 and I was wondering if it could also be an Amaj9? In some kind of inversion ?

    • @PIANOSTYLE100
      @PIANOSTYLE100 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best way to see if this works is to try it. However it will have B flavor..and b is not working as a 9 in this case it is working.as.the root. That has been my experience. Always be open to trying new ways. It makes a better
      musician. One proviso here. If I am co.comunnicating with other musics..its best to stay with what he said in this video. PIANOSTYLE100.

    • @JasmineG96
      @JasmineG96 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess the most important part would be that the second letter is the lowest note in your left hand. Try to adjust the keys you're playing in a way where that is possible :)
      Example: G/A -> A + G-B-D right? so you adjust that to: A + B-D-G. Like that it should be playable with one hand. Good Luck! :)

    • @Piano_Pig

      A is the bass note so the chord should really be called A something. It contains all the notes you would expect to find in an Asus7 chord so it makes sense to call it this. 😀

    • @Piano_Pig
      @Piano_Pig  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Asus7 just means Asus with the dominant 7. Asus13 is essentially Asus6, but using a 13 implies that the 7 is also present whereas the 6 does not.

    So, the degree is always in the bass note, right? I always got confused with that. I mean, for example, in the A minor key G/A would be simply a variation of the first degree and not of the 7th degree, is it so? It would help a video explaining several slash chords progressions in relationship to the key degrees.
