@@michaelstroup7361 i was to young to remember much from the 2002 He-Man but i remember watching the 2011 Thundercats. Also, i liked the animation, that was done by the Studio 4 C the same guys that animated the Berserk Golden Story Arc and Justice League Flashpoint Paradox
2:24 I remember this comic page when I was a kid like it was yesterday and I'm 47. Always longed for a Heman animated series drawn like this but also with a serious story line.
Great vid. 👍🏼 I think its also worth mentioning him being turned into Beast Dog in Revelations. And how awesome is his powerup sequence in the cgi show. No MOTU series will be complete without Beastman
Its very interesting how different this is in the German Audiobooks from the 80s. There Beast Man origin was described in the Story "Night at Castle Greyskull". In short: Webstor found a relict from the "Old Mages" that ruled Eternia in the Ancient times, they were the most Powerful beeings ever but somehow vanished and where never be seen again, still they try to get back to Ethernia with relicts or shards they left behind that strengthen theyr power wherever they are so they canb come back to Ethernia. When Webstor showed that relic to Skeletor , BeastMan complained that this might be very damgerous and Skeletor should not use it. Skeletor told Webstor that this relic was in his possession in the past but some traitor stole and did hide it from him . As Skeletor order BeastMan to take the Relic he try to resist but Webstor laughed at him and told Skeletor that BeastMan is a coward and a fool to fear the more then 1000 years lost Old Mages. Skeletor then told him he agree that BeastMan is not a smart one , but he (Skeletor) is not entirely innocent about that behavior of Beastman. Webstor asked Skeletor why and what happend but Skeletor wont tell him. Later on , Webstor cant find rest about that matter and took Beastman into his Spiderrealm and let Beastman be bitten by a special spider that set Beastman into some meditational state where he can remember anything that ever happend to him. There he explained Webstor that he was the greatest Scientis of his kind and was forced to work for Skeletor and if he dont obey him his people will be punished, while he was in Skeletors service he witnessed that Skeletor found that Relic of the Old Mages and knew this relic was that dangerous that it could destroy Ethernia and every living on it. After he aknowleged that the relic can be altered but not destroyed he changed some of the inscription and thew it inside a Volcano, where Webstor found it after the volcano did cool of and the Magma had become stone. Skeletor was enrage as he found that Beastman stole and hid the Relic from him and tortured Beastman so he call him the whereabout of the relic, but BeastMan refuses and the Poison that Skeletor used to torture Beastman made him mad and broke his mind so he became dumb and obidient but still he managed to stay quiet about the relics whereabout, maybe he has really forgotten where he hid it because of the paint an torture but maybe there was still enough strengh in him to stay strong in this matter. (( Sorry for my English i dont use it often nowadays , also sorry its a longer text then i thought xD ))
The live-action Beast-Man reminds me almost more of a Grizlor. That movie get better with time thanks to not being picky about "source accuracy" anymore.
My favourite MOTU character alongside Trap Jaw. This is a great bio - it's a shame that Beast Man was quickly turned into such a joke in the FIlmation series, the dumb muscle who everyone made fun of. I thought there was a hint of what could've been in the movie when Beast Man was able to post a threat to He-Man in hand-to-hand combat if only for a short time. I always thought he was consistently the physically strongest of Skeletor's troops apart from Faker, although occasionally characters like Clawful or Tri-Klops were better in individual series. I liked the mention of his name coming from the awesome Filmation 'Flash Gordon' series and the Beast Man of that show bore a pretty strong resemblance to Skeletor's henchmen with their Captain Ahab goatees and muscular, hunchbacked build. John Erwin deserves a load of credit for his voice acting for Beast Man in the Filmation show - it's often forgotten that he voiced Beastie as well as He-Man and he often gets overlooked when people are (rightfully) praising the work of Allen Oppenheimer
@@vanillajack5925 Yep, I loved that they explained why his head was a different colour from the rest of his body! Great piece of work with amazing art - it really demonstrated how badass Skeletor is
Apparently no matter what in any universe BeastMan can never control Dragons as it appears Dragons next to BattleCat are the only creatures on Eternia that BeastMan can never control as Dragons are among the strongest willed creatures of Eternia and with BattleCat/Cringer it's because of the power of GreySkull.
I knew Beast-Man was strong but the physical strength of 100 elephants ??? Where did this information come from ? It's not in the video but still great fun video by the way .
if they will introduce him in future she ra and princesses of power sequels I hope they will turn him into a tribal warlord, a mixture of bane intelligence and sabretooh savagery
Beast-man was always my favorite of the evil minions. Think the 2002 He-man reboot is still my favorite...shoulda had She-ra in there somewhere but still the best overall
I have this idea in my head where Skeletor sings Never Let Me Down by Depeche Mode. 🎵 I'm taking a ride with my Beastman🎵 Nyaaaah 🎵I hope he never lets me down again 🎵 Ahahaha
the VERY FIRST thing that comes into mind about Beast Man is, that classic CKY song "Beast Man verses Skeletor" th-cam.com/video/cajIKBIRWVk/w-d-xo.html
About the same overall IMO. Man-E-Faces is probably stronger in beast form and maybe in robot form but Beast Man has the edge when Man-E is in human form. I seem to recall one comic where Man-E in beast form gave He-Man a pretty decent challenge in a fight.
Power of 100 Elephants?? That's He-Man's power and as strong as he maybe he's still nowhere near He-Man's level. If Beastman has the power of 100 Elephants then He-Man has the power of 1000
Considering the powers that Beast Man had over creatures that walked the earth, he could have been an awesome adversary for Castle GreySkull but sadly... he was turned into a buffoon, and became Skelator's bitch. So many great characters ( baddies aswell as good) wasted and not used to their best potential, although having so many villians in one episode didn't help and it was impossible for one character to shine. Should we ever get ( the much talked about ) He-Man Movie, I would much prefer to see Beastman as a vicious "Sabertooth type character", that would be awesome, but that's just my opinion.
So sad that he showed as an idiot in the cartoons and in the audio cassette series in Germany. He had much more potential. In the newer cartoons he was more accurate, imo.
Skeletor is a coward done nothing but hide in a staff and then pop out and stab He-Man in the back to claim victory that's loser such a loser skeletor is Beast Man and evil and were better off without skeletor in my opinion they both grown exponentially the only one who has not grown is skeletor he just grew into a coward that's it
Can we just acknowledge how good the 2000s reboots of He-Man and the Thundercats were?
So good that they were both canceled after only one season
Yeah, unfortunately the animation for both looked terrible, which prevented many from giving either a fair chance

I didn't think it was a dog he turned into exactly - sort of like a combination of beast man and a tiger or something
He is a bear man like Grizzlor !
don't mention those turds
Glad to hear you included even the origin story of the german audio plays!

We need an open world motu video game
May i ask: Where is the Thumbnail Art from?

In the Filmation series he wasn't so savage, just primitive, and he wasn't so loyal to Skeletor, he hated how he bossed him around so much.
"There's more to R'qazz than just collecting bones, you know. Maybe you should ask R'qazz about himself sometime?"

love the He Man videos
Just realized, movie Beast Man looks more like Grizzlor from She-Ra
Also, I really enjoyed the rivalry between R'Qazz and Cringer in the CGI show
Can you do He-Man axe origins??? I always loved seeing pictures of him with that battle axe! Like a true Norse warrior
Bigfoot with an attitude 💪👍💪
Why why why do you put the emphasis on the "skull" in Castle Grayskull? It sounds so weird.... GraySKULL.
I knew Beast-Man was strong but the physical strength of 100 elephants ??? Where did this information come from ? It's not in the video but still great fun video by the way .
That's ridiculous if he's got power of 100 then He-Man has power of 1000
Just 2 days ago I was looking. For. Neastman and other. Characters. Orogin. So. Cool to see this video today lol
Apparently you weren't able to find any pictures of the 200x action figure.

They are talking grizzly bears ! 😊
