I also think Luigi's great, he's my favourite protagonist! Yeah there are game sounds like that "babies" one that I have lying around but that usually don't fit in with these videos, so it's always good to use them like that lol. I probably will do a LM theme again, but not any time soon, I'll be trying some new ideas first :) glad you like Mario's Quest, I enjoyed making it and I'm pleased with the result! And as for making a new quest, again I'll be trying something different this year ;)
Editing a 10-minute video takes about 50 hours, but we also have to film them and that's another 15ish hours. I make them in holidays, so we're working on some now.

I went for 5 stars because I didn't want the story to drag on, but I agree that there were a lot of Paper Mario series references. They are very good to reference because a lot goes on in them.
When the Innkeeper says "keep the stars close", this is because he knows that the stars prevent their surroundings from turning to stone. So Yoshi was never actually stone in the first place. As he moves across the land, the star changes the land to normal and back to stone again as it passes.
Question Goomzilla, at 22:33 when the Toad said “I heard it from some strange traveler” was he referring to Rosalina? Because it would actually be interesting if she was the one who came up with the prophecy. In fact if she showed up in a future “Quest” series, that would be even more awesome
Yeah, a lot of the Mario's Quest filming had to be done at night, because of the space atmosphere we wanted in Bowser's castle. For parts 1 to 5 it was summer which was fine, but we filmed this episode in mid-December, so it was a bit chilly at times...
Haha I bet. In episode 1 did you have your camera outside and through the letter/plushes outside from your house? To make it look like they were going back to earth?
That wouldn't work as well because it would be more difficult to put character into their movements. Creating emotions such as shock wouldn't work because they wouldn't react as suddenly to the string pulling them, and moving the arms would be pretty much impossible because the plushes tend to stick their arms out by default and thread isn't strong enough to affect that.
Some people think Mario and Luigi are the heroes, some people think Yoshi is the hero, the real answer is, all 3 of them (plus the people who helped them on the way, like: Kolorado, The train conductor, etc) cuz they all got the stars at the generator witch saved all of them :)
It's just an animation oversight. They couldn't make it look like Mario was pointing. And also, are you sorry for the caps? Yoshi is a hero. Mario couldn't stand the stone. Did you ever think of that "smart" guy?

This was such an emotional ending when we thought a hero would get killed but stays alive by a star
