There's movie theaters in the United States that the ticket price includes unlimited popcorn and fountain drinks. They are usually the theaters that have the sofa chairs and of course the tickets are more expensive than a normal theater. They also serve real food and not just snacks. They tend have waiters that come to you to take your order and a full bar that you can order drinks from.

I've been to the Philippines. It's gorgeous and everyone is super nice and helpful! 1,000 pisos is a good amount of money there too. It's not a cheap date by the standards of the nation. I rented Penthouse sweet there for 500 pisos a night back in the day. It's all relative to where you are in the world. When I lived in Korea, everything was 25-40% cheaper than in America (save beef, which was expensive) but I also earned about 20% less than what I earned here (before inflation went crazy and I got some massive raises to help offset that cost of living change). Yes, you come out ahead still, but it's not like you're massively overpowering the local economy if you are integrated into it as a foreigner.

We sat there and enjoyed watching the birds and flowers for hours and we spent absolutely 0 dollars.

I've been to the Philippines. It's gorgeous and everyone is super nice and helpful! 1,000 pisos is a good amount of money there too. It's not a cheap date by the standards of the nation. I rented Penthouse sweet there for 500 pisos a night back in the day. It's all relative to where you are in the world. When I lived in Korea, everything was 25-40% cheaper than in America (save beef, which was expensive) but I also earned about 20% less than what I earned here (before inflation went crazy and I got some massive raises to help offset that cost of living change). Yes, you come out ahead still, but it's not like you're massively overpowering the local economy if you are integrated into it as a foreigner.
