Lucky you! We bought this camera at a Mi store here in the Philippines but there was no adapter included. I guess it varies per country. The camera is good but there are times when it's difficult to set-up in the app. Overall, I would recommend it for those looking for a good budget security camera. HOWEVER, IT WON'T WORK OFFLINE. If your internet connection is interrupted or goes offline, it will not record even on the SD card so take this into consideration.
@@armedconfessor2586 Good day Sir. If it's offline, there might be a problem with the internet connection in your home. I usually check the camera via the Mi App before leaving the house so I could also adjust the view of the camera and see that it is actually on and working.
@@restingmuhderface It won't work with a larger card since it can only support FAT32 formatted cards, and FAT32 only supports up to 32GB. Also the Mi site lists a 32GB limit for the SD card.

Operating temperature is not 0c minimum as shown in the video - official Xiaomi specs showing: -20ºC ~ 50ºC So that makes sense since it's meant to be used outdoors IP65 protection
My test review: Does not work well. Don’t upgrade the firmware as it will make functionality worse. SD card playback doesn’t work properly. Best performance (still not good) set SD to record all the time and time zone to GMT-8 (UT8 o= Chinese time)
Who knows but it works better setting Chinese time zone +8. Many others report this. Report on your findings! Other time zone video frequently fails to start. SD card doesn’t playback even no SD card reported. I wouldn’t buy this camera again.
You can't. They don't allow that for some odd reason. Only if you use their cloud service you can download it from there. But from SD card - only way is basically to remove SD card and put it in your computer/reader and download it. Very inconvenient for a camera like this mounted high above hands reach and if you need to download video... they should at least support basic (S)FTP storage so you can provide your own server, or Google Drive - but they limit to their Mi cloud only.

Hi I have a big problem, could someone help me? My camera hasn't recorded continuously. For example, today Ichecked and there are only records of 20/01/2021 and 07/01/21. Even, those days only recorded 2 or 3 hours, not complete, and my SD is not full. Help!
Go to the app. Then the settings. Manage storage. The. Format the memory card. That might work. If it doesn't try resetting the camera itself. There's a pin hole near the sd card port, poke it then connect your camera again to your wifi and the app. Not sure if this works but you can try
Thanks for the in depth review, man. I needed to watch one because I wanted to know if it has the same surveillance function of the 360 camera. Glad to know it does. Wanted to go with this one for outdoor surveillance.
The only problem with this camera is that if it detects movement it goes ahead and records only 9 seconds. I haven't found any option to change the video length if a movement occurs, 9 seconds are just not enough, wish it was 30 seconds at least.
@@halloween3353 Yes, but this mi home camera is not very reliable, I stopped using it and i can't set it up anymore, the lens is a bit scratched and i can't get past the qr scan setup, I've now switched to reolink lumus but it doesn't seem to be any better, it has the same problem, for live streaming it works fine but l can't even play the saved recordings for some reason

Bought it, the camera itself says connected too wifi connection but the mi home app keeps saying connection timed out...did lot's of resetting of the camera but nothing works..ohh and when opening the rubber flap too reach the reset button it immediately tears. The EU version does not incude charger. If you set recording only for motion scenes the player does not reclgnize its own files. It cannot play the recorded viseos. The app does not allow to downoad the recordings. Unusable crap :(

I used to have this camera on my bird feeder. I loved wide FOV, magnetic mount and ability to power it from any USB power supply including power banks and actually good image quality at 1080p. However what I disliked was software full of bugs, video files were fragmented into 3 second chunks and that there was bug which froze recording afger 17:00 / 5pm so you were not able to record or view stored recording.

In the Philippines as well but I am unable to use it to monitor when I am out and about. Tried using phone data but says it's offline.

Why changing to that timezone?
Who knows but it works better setting Chinese time zone +8. Many others report this. Report on your findings! Other time zone video frequently fails to start. SD card doesn’t playback even no SD card reported. I wouldn’t buy this camera again.

Not a problem at all. This does not have a built in battery so it needs to be plugged all the time. But you can use a powerbank though

Actually there's an option to save videos on CIFS/Samba shared directory over the network.
But I haven't tried it yet.

Hi, how do you setup the camera to use xiaomi cloud? I only have the option to use the micro SD card.
The cloud function is only available on the Chinese version camera because it goes to the China server. Probably you have the English version?
